Different aircrafts, one aerial unit, one movie : MAYDAY 🎬💥

Absolute precision with our L39 team jets, an ATR42 and two camera ships : plane with @shotoversystems #F1 for high speed sequences 🎥🛩️ and #K1 with Multi-Array on helicopter for chirurgical moves 🚁

From the hangar to the air, every shot starts long before the cameras roll.

Aircraft preparation, flight coordination, formation work and aerial filming — bringing fast jets and larger aircraft together requires every movement to be planned, briefed and executed with precision.

Aerial coordination is never just about flying.

On Matchbox 🎬💥, months of preparation went into bringing complex aerial sequences from concept to screen — working closely across departments, from creative department to stunt team.

Alongside prep with our amazing director @samhargrave , stunt coordinator @shanehabb with his team and VFX department from @gerdsfx , every sequence required its own choreography: aircraft, performers, camera platforms, rigging, timing and safety all moving as one 🚁🚀

Pilots, camera 🎥 men, aircrafts proxy’s, technician, equipment and production work, aerial coordination, logistics, permits and flight operations — a lot happens behind the camera before an aircraft ever makes it onto the screen.

When production is asking for aircrafts, crews and a lot of creative scenes, AERING provides… 🎬💥 A fantastic team on that one with a commercial plane, two jets, a camera plane and a camera heli ✈️🚁🛩️ Cannot wait to see this movie! 🔥

Stunts, aircraft doubles, aerial coordination, logistics, permits, flight operations… bringing aviation to the screen is always a collective effort, both in the air and on the ground.

🚨MAYDAY

Some projects stay under wraps for months… and it’s always rewarding to finally see them come to life.

Now coming to Apple TV+.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in this production. It was a pleasure supporting the aerial work alongside such a talented team, capturing large-scale helicopter and fixed-wing VFX plates with the Trident 24K camera array.

Not every aerial shot needs the same camera 📷📽️🎥🚁

That’s why at Aering, we build each setup around the story.

From ultra-high-resolution multi-array systems, IMAX to long lens tracking packages, stabilized gimbals and lightweight aerial configurations, every tool serves a different purpose.

Different locations. Day. Night. Different challenges. Different camera systems. 🚁⚡ And our systems work for ground shot to mutualize array camera kit on set 🚀

Actors don’t always love hanging from a helicopter… 😅🚁

So sometimes we bring the helicopter to them.

We build full scale Heli bucks for studio work and mounted on motion systems to recreate realistic flight movements while keeping actors, crew and cameras safely on the ground.

Add the right accessories, vibration, lighting and camera work… and suddenly you’re flying at 5,000 ft without ever leaving the sound stage 🚁💥
