I know that technically, Sherry was taken into government custody after surviving the fall of Raccoon City due both to the loss of her parents and to her G virus exposure, 🦠 but Capcom states that Claire Redfield spent as much time with her as possible after rescuing the youngin’, and Sherry began to perceive Claire - who, bizarrely enough, is only about seven years older than her - as her mother. I know Claire is portrayed as a maternal character, <3 but I can’t imagine she has perfect parenting skills considering her own orphanhood and childhood being raised by a scrappy older brother. Claire is doing her best lol 😅 and I’m sure that her best is better than what Sherry previously had when neglected by the workaholic Dr. Birkins. Nothing denim is safe around Claire! ✂️ The shirt I’m wearing is a hand-me-down from my father; it’s from Capcom’s Resident Evil 20th anniversary line of merchandise. Claire Redfield might have to resort to some Lara Croft Tomb Raider measures to pay her Spring 1999 semester tuition, but good luck hauling those artifacts around Raccoon City! If Resident Evil 2 had the treasure collecting and selling mechanic seen in later games, that Ancient Egyptian death mask in Chief Irons’ office (it’s present in the station in both the original AND the remake, | noticed) would have been worth a lot. lol PS: This is a resin reproduction of Pharoah Tutankhamun’s death mask that I found in a Greenville, Tennessee antique store when I was 12. I posted a version of this video several months ago and almost immediately deleted it because I began to worry that I wouldn’t be accepted into the Capcom Creators program if I picked on Chris too much lol. 😵 As of right now, I still haven’t been accepted into the program, possibly because my humor is a little on the edgy side, 😬 but I decided to post what makes me laugh anyway. I wanted to post a video for the anniversary of the Spencer Mansion Incident, 🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️🎈 which, in the Resident Evil universe, occurred on July 24th - July 25th, 1998, so I decided I would re-edit this video together for the occasion now that we know what the inside of Chris’ apartment actually looks like as of the Resident Evil Veronica preview. 🎥 🪳 I also now have slightly better skills and software for removing backgrounds without using a green screen, 📺 and this was one video that originally presented major challenges with background removal because of the angle at which I filmed it (from Chris’ perspective, looking down at his little sister). This is an earlier version of my costume that I have since made improvements to. I weigh almost 20 pounds more in this video than I do now, and I have since added a new knife sheath to this vest, replaced the underlying turtleneck, and replaced the biker shorts. 🩳 I also cut up a pair of jeans and made them into better fitting jean shorts for this Darkside Chronicles’ reimagining of Claire Redfield’s outfit in Resident Evil 2. ✂️ Anyway, I imagine Chris’ bulking routine thwarted Claire’s evil plans to steal all of his clothes, as they no longer wore comparable sizes after he began ‘roiding up in the aftermath of his fight with Albert Wesker in Resident Evil Code Veronica. 💉😎 Pants can only be altered down so much, even with Claire’s seamstressing skills! This is based off of a hilarious comment from @the_eyepatched_monarch on Instagram for yesterday’s video that suggested Claire get the original men of Resident Evil micro-chipped. 💻 So here is Claire treating Chris like the dog the “Alpha” wants to be so badly 🐶 and taking him to the nearest pound to put a chip in him 😂 Yes, I used the Umbrella test subject cages in Resident Evil 5 for the background. lol Maybe this will save her some hours (and another visit to a place like Raccoon City) 🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️ the next time she’s having difficulty locating him. 🔦 I actually think it’s a wonderful idea considering Chris’ tendency to disappear in Resident Evil 2 and its remake, Resident Evil Revelations 1, and in the lore of Resident Evil 6 (when he ends up on a blackout Eastern European bender with slight amnesia). 🍻 But it’s Jill’s phone number that’s going on the name tag, not Claire’s lol 📞 She’s not sure she wants to be woken up in the middle of the night with another call about her brother being mean to a bartender again. 😭 Sometimes you have to put your mental health first lol. #ClaireRedfield #ResidentEvil #ResidentEvilcosplay #ResidentEvil2 #ResidentEvilCodeVeronica by @aeriscarter

I wonder how many times Claire Redfield has had to get her driver’s license 🪪 🏍️ replaced because she didn’t have enough inventory space to carry it out of a life and a death situation 💀lol You have to make difficult decisions when storage space is limited and you need to use every pocket to carry ink ribbons, herbs, 🪴 ammo, 🔫 and keys / medallions / jewels / key cards. 🗝️ At some point, the DMV is going to stop believing Claire lol. 👩‍💼 There’s no way Leon is driving with a license 🚗 based off of his track record, so I’m not worried about him lol 😂 There G virus, T virus, and T Veronica virus I pull out of my bag in this video were made by the incredibly talented @lesidentevil and given to me as a gift. 🦠 INSANELY skilled and I’m so grateful to have these beautiful decorations / props. #ClaireRedfield #ResidentEvil2 #ResidentEvil2remake #ResidentEvil #ResidentEvilcosplay by @aeriscarter

After experiencing the horrors of the Spencer Mansion, 🧟🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️ you’d think Chris, upon being contacted by Leon, wouldn’t have tried to retrieve the captured ⛓️ Claire alone in Resident Evil Code Veronica, but that’s exactly what he tries 😭 Why wouldn’t he involve an international version of the special tactics and rescue squad? 🌎⭐️ lol No, Chris was determined to break his sister out of Rockfort Island single-handedly, ⛓️‍💥 and then, when plans changed and he had to redirect towards the Arctic, 🛫 he still was determined to do things alone. A lot of fans characterize Albert Wesker as the strong, silent type 😎 because that’s the trope we usually see with mysterious villains who hide their past from others, 🎭 but in the games, Albert is a major chatty Cathy after he is revealed as a traitor. 🗣️🎙️ He is ALWAYS yapping. Even when we don’t see him talking onscreen (where he is constantly embarking on elaborate monologues about his intentions), 👄 it’s clear he’s been running his mouth about Chris constantly off-screen. In Resident Evil 5, Excella Gionne and Irving both know who Chris is before ever meeting him. 🤨 They even seem annoyed, as if they’ve heard his name too much. Because Albert never stops talking. 🙊 It’s amazing he was able to maintain his cover so long as the Captain of S.T.A.R.S. when that man can’t be quiet lol. 😱 It makes me feel like he might be a catty, messy gossip behind the scenes since these traits often go hand-in-hand lol. 🐈‍⬛ On documentaries about criminals, those interviewed commonly describe perpetrators as quiet and keeping to themselves, 🎥 but no one can accurately say that about busy mouth ‘Bert. lol 🎤 👂🏻 It’s one of the quirks I appreciate Capcom for including in their antagonist. Jill might have taught Claire to pick locks (Chris certainly didn’t and Jill is, of course, the master of unlocking), 🔓 but maybe it was Chris who taught Claire how to handle explosives 🧨 Jill uses skill, Chris uses brute force 👊🏻 and strength, and Claire uses a mix of the two. 💪🏻 I know that in order to make it out alive in a Resident Evil game, you have to solve all of the puzzles, 🧩 which usually involves finding a way into every room on the map out of necessity, 🗺️ but it’s funny to imagine that this behavior goes beyond survival situations and Claire Redfield continues to break into every door she sees in daily life out of habit and sheer nosiness 😂 This video shows Claire Redfield sneaking around, using medallions, and yes, using a detonator 💥 to leave no door unopened, because I was upset I didn’t reenact the explosion scene from the original Resident Evil 2 in the video I made a few weeks ago referencing it. This is a parody of Marilyn Monroe performing “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” 💃🏻 in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes with Claire Redfield’s monitoring devices in place of diamond jewelry lol. 💎 Chris is unamused by his little sister’s performance 🎭 lol 😂 While Claire just wore a fashionable choker in the original Resident Evil Code Veronica, we see in the remake, Resident Evil Veronica, that Claire is now wearing an electronic prisoner collar when taken to Rockfort Island, much like Steve Burnside wore in Code Veronica and Darkside Chronicles. ⛓️ Then, in Resident Evil Revelations 2, Claire receives a fear bracelet to monitor the state of her T Phobos infection 🦠 after her kidnapping was ordered by Alex Wesker. Claire is definitely a gentler parent than what I’m portraying here, 💕 so this is a bit out of character and I somewhat regret filming it now that I’m watching the footage. 😅 I was laughing at the time. Claire definitely speaks like this to Chris offscreen, 📣 but not to Sherry, who is canonically like a daughter to her. 👶🏼 MAYBE she would speak like this to Jake. 🕶️ This is purely for a joke, like she’s stressed out and on the verge of succumbing to the T-Phobos 🦠 in the days after escaping the clutches of Alex Wesker. ⛓️‍💥 We all know how dinner preparations can drive us to our worst lol. 🍳🔥 Admittedly, the timeline here is a little wonky, because Claire is wearing her fear bracelet, but we see Claire fairing well with her T Phobos infection after only half a year in Resident Evil Revelations 2, 🦠 if I’m not mistaken, and this clearly takes place after the events of Resident Evil 8, about a decade later. 🩺 Also, I decided to suggest the Redfields now sometimes live in the Winters’ house since Chris has custody of Rose after Resident Evil 8 and she is presumably the heiress to the Winters’ property lol I hope mechanically minded Claire made all the neccessary repairs 😂 🔧🏡 #ClaireRedfield #ResidentEvil8 #ResidentEvil6 #ResidentEvilcosplay #ResidentEvil by @aeriscarter
