Pulling Together for a Purpose!

A big thank you 🙏 for the invitation to yesterday’s STEM – Pulling a Plane for a Purpose event at @londonoxfordairport with Chris Desai @vayyufoundation and our “Heights of Possibility” project. @uk.caa @kingstrust Trust

It was genuinely refreshing sharing ideas, making connections and having meaningful conversations about how we can “make a difference”

Aviation has an incredible ability to inspire, create opportunities and change lives. When we collaborate, share and think beyond the conventional, the possibilities are endless! 🚀

A huge congratulations to @simon_trowell and Paul Casemont, who have both successfully passed their SPL Gliding Skills Tests at @theglidingcentre @husbosgliding 👏 @discovergliding

A fantastic achievement for them both after plenty of training, commitment, learning and, of course, lots of fun flying!

Now it’s time to enjoy the freedom and adventures that come with becoming qualified glider pilots.

Brilliant work — very well deserved! 🥳✈️👏

WELL SZD
Now that the article has been published I can share some of my photos from a golden hour of flying with Guy and Rob from GilderFX, in June. This @szdallstar SZD-59 glider is now owned by the 'Richard Westgate Flying Foundation – Born to Fly', and the air-to-air sortie was to unveil the Foundation's new British Glider Aerobatic Squad livery. As the sun started to set, we flew two short sorties with both wingspans available to the SZD-59: 15m with winglets, and the shorter 13.2m competitive aerobatic configuration (with a wingtip smoke system fitted).

The Foundation’s gliders are available to all pilots, to develop confidence and competence in all advanced handling exercises; for more information about these opportunities, contact @gliderfx

🚁 Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for our Drone Safety Talk! 🚁

A fantastic, informative and collaborative evening focused on one important message — sharing the skies safely. 🛩️🤝

A special thank you to @leicestershire_police # Drone Unit, @pixelcovephoto and @aerosparxrob for sharing their knowledge, experience and insights with us.

It was great to bring local drone users and aviation together to discuss the Drone Code, Leicester FRZ and how we can all operate safely and responsibly alongside each other.

Thank you to everyone who attended, asked questions and contributed to the discussion. It was brilliant to see such a positive and engaged community coming together.
