“Sometimes a setback is just the beginning of your comeback.” 🏏✨

Duck to Century by Sumit Kukreja is one of those books that reminds you that failure doesn’t have to define the rest of your story.

Using the simple idea of going from a duck to a century, the book talks about setbacks, self-doubt, difficult decisions, resilience, and finding the courage to start again.

What I liked most was that it doesn’t make success sound easy or overnight. It talks about the messy part in between — when things don’t go according to plan, when you question yourself, and when choosing to keep going becomes an achievement in itself.

It’s personal, honest and motivating without feeling like a book that is constantly trying to give you life advice.

My biggest takeaway?
One bad chapter doesn’t decide the whole story. You can always begin another innings. 🏏

A meaningful read for anyone who is currently feeling stuck, dealing with a setback, or simply waiting for their own comeback moment. 🤍📖

Fail. Rise. Repeat.

Amrit Kalash – Greatest Tales from Indian Mythology by Divya Narain Upadhyaya

There’s something so comforting about reading stories rooted in the mythology we grew up hearing from our grandparents. Amrit Kalash brings that feeling back, but presents these ancient tales in a way that feels surprisingly easy and engaging to read.

What I enjoyed most was the variety of stories. Along with familiar episodes like Samudra Manthan, the book also explores lesser-known stories around Devas, Asuras and Rishis. The writing is simple, vivid and almost cinematic—you can actually picture the scenes unfolding as you read.

The illustrations and beautiful cover add to the experience and make this feel like more than just a book of mythology. It’s a lovely way to reconnect with Indian stories, especially if you enjoy discovering the tales and characters beyond the ones we commonly hear about.

A nostalgic, colourful and easy read for anyone who enjoys Indian mythology, folklore and stories passed down through generations by @aestheticsofmylife__

The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn 🪟

A slow-burn psychological thriller filled with secrets, paranoia, and unexpected twists. The story keeps you questioning what’s real and what’s not, and just when you think you’ve figured it out, everything changes. The atmosphere is dark, tense, and unsettling, making it hard to put the book down.

A gripping read for anyone who loves unreliable narrators, suspense, and mind-bending mysteries. Definitely a book that keeps you guessing until the very end! by @aestheticsofmylife__

DHI Alchemy felt like a gentle reminder to slow down and look at life from a deeper perspective. I liked how it connects mental, physical and spiritual well-being instead of focusing on just one aspect.

The chapters on self-care, anxiety, gratitude, living in the present and understanding yourself really stood out to me. I also enjoyed the little exercises and reflections—they make you pause and think about your own life.

It’s not a book you simply finish; it’s one that makes you reflect on how you’re living.

A thoughtful read for anyone who feels like they need to slow down, look inward, and understand themselves a little better. ✨ by @aestheticsofmylife__
