POSTS STORIES REELS

Finally getting around to sharing these special photos from an evening spent frolicking around some of my favourite painting spots with the extremely talented @jennahkingphotography for her @iamportfairy campaign last month. I'm definitely much more comfortable behind the camera, but couldn't say no when I saw Jennah's beautiful style which resonated with me + my work so much!

It's so lovely to have these images captured along this coastline which has provided so much inspiration for me over the last twelve months since moving here, and they're made even more special by being some of the first ones with my little plus-one, who'll be joining us early next year.

Feeling incredibly grateful to be surrounded by so much beauty, making art & growing life all at the same time 🐚🌞👶🏼 by @aetart

sometimes when I’ve had a painting sitting in my space for a little while the perfectionist in me starts to wonder what I would do to make it better…so I decided to give this Point Lonsdale piece from my 'First Light, Last Light' collection for @lon_retreat a bit of a re-visit with fresh eyes ✨

Though I still loved its first version, I feel like these changes capture the feeling of the hazy Summer evening more closely, and the way the last bit of sunlight illuminated all of those beautiful colours and textures of the plants growing in the dunes 🌞🍃

'Golden Evening' is one of just three paintings remaining in this collection from my first ever solo show—hard to believe this time last year I was frantically getting all of the works ready!

26x33cm framed, oil on board + available 🧡

a little love letter to the past few months of Spring (my favourite season!) and all of the things I've been working on 💌 🌼✍🏻

~

'Spring Sunrise, South Beach', a recent work on paper framed in oak

evening light on my desk ft. tea tree flowers + coastal wattle which have been in abundance along the coast. I can't help but bring some home with me on every walk I take 🌼✂️

really enjoying seeing the different combinations people choose of my greeting cards & loved how this selection looked together ✨ (plus more foraged coastal flowers)

evening walks through the dunes to one of my favourite beaches 🌸

a commission of Coral Bay, Hamilton Island which I finished recently—such a different colour palette for me and a huge challenge, but so pleased with how it came together in the end 🌴

quick, tiny mock-ups for my next couple of commissions. So grateful to be working on such a variety of beautiful places 💛

dreamy Spring skies over Port Fairy 💕

first layers for a beautiful Pea Soup/ South Beach sunrise I watched a few weeks ago 🌞

mesmerising evening light + shadows making this painting come alive 🍃✨

Springtime magic in the dunes—always so much to be noticed this time of year 🦋🌸✨ by @aetart

Some recent Port Fairy works on paper + the moments which inspired them ✨

I feel so lucky to be watching the seasons shift and the light change along this beautiful little coastline—from peachy Autumn sunsets above the dunes, to quiet Winter moonrises and Spring sunrises as the coast reawakens, coastal wattle and tea tree flowers in full bloom. There is always so much to notice and be inspired by.

All of these works are oil on paper & currently available 💛

I've been kept so busy with commissions lately and haven't had much to share on here, but I picked this piece up from the framers this week after having it sitting in my painting space for far too long(!)—'Watching the Tide Wash In' 🫧

Inspired by a peaceful morning spent watching the tide wash in underneath a soft, pastel sky. I always love the swirling patterns the water leaves on the sand as the ocean rolls in and then quietly recedes away.

oil on canvas, 39x31cm framed in oak + available ✨

A fun + accessible way to get art into your home 🐚💛🌞

My new A6 fine art greeting cards are here—high quality prints on 100% post-consumer recycled paper and printed within Australia (this part was very important to me!)

They're the perfect accompaniment for a special occasion, or for popping in a frame for an affordable little artwork. Currently available in six different designs individually or in a set of all six, and only in very limited numbers for now.

Available under 'Greeting Cards', or they can also be found in the Little Shop of Lon at @lon_retreat if you're on the Bellarine 🌟

something new—a tiny Winter Solstice sunrise 💛

These types of skies are a pretty rare occurrence here this time of year, which only makes them all the more special. 13x18cm, oil on wood + available 🌟

Some Port Fairy paintings I had framed recently + the images which inspired them 💛

I don't know about you, but I'm counting down the days to lighter, warmer evenings ahead when I feel the most inspired.

You can find both of these pieces available on my website 💫

A couple of Port Fairy inspired pieces I've been working on recently in between commissions.

Witnessing the light change along the coast as the seasons have shifted these last few months has been really special—from warm, sun-drenched evenings to crispy clear Autumnal skies. A never ending source of inspiration 💛

'Moonrise, East Beach' 🌝

I'm forever a 'look at the moon!' type of person, but I've been feeling especially inspired by it lately (how incredible have the photos coming out of NASA been?!)

We've been lucky to have so many clear skies here recently and I've found myself more and more drawn to capturing its quiet, beautiful presence within my work.

On this particular evening I watched the sky change from orange, to pink, to purple as dusk settled in and the moon rose higher, light dancing across the waves below. There will always be something endlessly inspiring about moonlight on water 🌀✨

the past few weeks—not much time spent on here (whoops), but plenty of time spent watching the moon rise, working on commissions, painting a new coastline, lots of works-in-progress & soaking up all of the goodness that comes with the changing seasons..💫🌝💛 by @aetart

it's not often I remember to film my painting process, but I'm so glad I captured these last little sparkles of evening sunlight on the shrubs. Sometimes it's the tiniest details which bring a piece to life ✨

This painting was all about the warmth of evening light and those brief moments before the sun goes down where everything seems to glow. Excited to share the finished piece soon 🌞🧡
