sometimes when I’ve had a painting sitting in my space for a little while the perfectionist in me starts to wonder what I would do to make it better…so I decided to give this Point Lonsdale piece from my 'First Light, Last Light' collection for @lon_retreat a bit of a re-visit with fresh eyes ✨

Though I still loved its first version, I feel like these changes capture the feeling of the hazy Summer evening more closely, and the way the last bit of sunlight illuminated all of those beautiful colours and textures of the plants growing in the dunes 🌞🍃

'Golden Evening' is one of just three paintings remaining in this collection from my first ever solo show—hard to believe this time last year I was frantically getting all of the works ready!
