🎓🇫🇷 DELF DALF exams : Get an official french language certification recognized worldwide

The last course session of the year goes with the last DELF-DALF exam certification of the year !

Registration for the DELF & DALF examination is open for adults and juniors.

From A1 to C2, take an exam to certify your French level and get new opportunities for your studies, career, travels, or personal skills.

Registration will close on November 17th. Examinations will hold from December 7 to 12.

🎬 Animation Film Festival at Alliance Française de Banjul - Fête du Cinéma d'animation ✨

As part of International Animation Film Week @fete.cinema.animation , Alliance Française de Banjul invites you to a special film programme celebrating Gambian, French and Franco-Gambian animation films!

Programme:
🎬2 short films :
- Dear Mom : A short film directed by Batch Samba Njie.
- Sussuna : A short film created during an artist residency at Alliance Française de Banjul in partnership with @gobelins.paris , featuring Batch Samba Njie, Aminata Khoussa and Françoise Le Brusque.
🎥1 movie :
- Les Triplettes de Belleville : A French animation classic directed by Sylvain Chomet.

Ready to unleash your creativity? Join renowned Gambian artist @moulayesarr505 for 5 intensive painting sessions, and learn the basics of painting in a fun and creative environment!

🗓️ Registration deadline: Friday, 6 November
Painting classes : Every Saturday from November 14 to December 19
💰 Fee: 5,000 GMD for all 5 sessions, including all materials

📝🎤FEMALE VOICES IN POETRY : MINDFULNESS & POETRY WORKSHOP

The poetry workshop by @futprintsafrika - Female voices in poetry, in partnership with Alliance Française de Banjul, has been successfully concluded in The Gambia 🇬🇲
This workshop took place under the SHE Project (Save Her Empowerment).
The same project also took place in Sierra Leone 🤝

On September 25th, 20 young participants explored :
🧘🏾‍♀️ Mindfulness
✍🏾 Poetry Development & Writing
📝 Content & Storyline / Storytelling
🥁 Rhythm & Movement

Alliance Française de Banjul is proud to support and sponsor such iniatives, and help young girls and boys to build their skills, their confidence and their voice. We were truly impressed by their productions !

📢🇫🇷LAST CALL FOR FRENCH COURSES REGISTRATION🏃🏾‍♂️

The new course session has started on Monday September 28th, it’s been almost one week !
This is the last call for your registration.

If you want to start or continue your journey in French for your studies, career opportunities or just for fun, this is your call ! There will be no other course session before january 2027.

This session can also help you to prepare for the DELF DALF exam, the official French certification endorsed by the French Ministry of Education, that will take place in December.

⚠️⚠️ Few seats left for some of the classes :
- 4 seats left for A1.1 beginner classes - evening weekday
- 4 seats for A1.1 - Intensive morning class
- 3 seats for A1.2 - Intensive morning class
- Few seats available for A1.2 class on Saturdays
- Few seats left for A1.2 & A2.1 levels , depending on the time - evening weekdays
- 3 seats left only for B1 level - evening weekdays
- Junior class (ages 9-12) : 5 seats left for A1.1 and 3 seats for A1.2

Stop by our reception today Friday or Monday between 9am and 6pm, or Saturday between 10am and 4pm to register !

Living Heritage of The Gambia

The new cultural season is officially opening on October 31st at Alliance Française de Banjul !

Gambian masquerade traditions carry generations of knowledge, community and identity. Modou Lamin Bah, Muhammed Badjie and Ambo Studio invite you at Alliance Française de Banjul to celebrate this heritage, and the people who keep it alive today.
Join us for an evening dedicated to Gambian masquerade traditions, through the Masquerades of The Gambia, a project supported by Alliance Française de Banjul :

📷 A photography exhibition documenting Gambia's masquerade traditions - including a special feature on the Fara Kankurang
🎬 A short film on the history and continuity of these practices
🗣️ A round table with cultural historians, practitioners and young creatives on passing the tradition to the next generation
➡️ A live masquerade performance

Great news ! Due to the high demand, we are opening extra classes for beginners, and registration is extended.

New deadlines :
➡️ Friday, Oct 9. for weekday evening classes ⚠️ Limited seats, only few seats lefts for the beginner class A1.1
➡️ Saturday, Oct. 10 for Saturday classes ⚠️ Only few seats lefts for A1.1, seats available for A1.2
