We set one big table facing the stage on the @chspourhouse deck for an intimate musical experience. 💥💥💥

With a lot of help from my dear friend @hozanderson we are gathering local flowers and friends to help decorate the deck to make a cozy home for our unique feast to happen. 🌻

We can’t wait to see Maria’s Luminaries light up the table! @mariawhitestudio ✨

Today we got a window in to Maria’s creative process! @mariawhitestudio ✨

Her luminaries are all unique, truly one of a kind, and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Every indentation, every hole where the light peeks through, it’s all her design.
I loved learning how much detail and time goes in to the craft of these beauties.

Maria also heads up an incredible organization, @mugs_for_moms that supports women who suffer with Postpartum depression and creates a healing space in her studio for women in our community.

We couldn’t be more excited to share her art with our guests at our Feast on Monday! @chspourhouse
All of her luminaries will light the table where we will share a meal celebrating the seasons with our farmers and friends. Each guest gets to take home one of these incredible luminaries to remember this magical evening.

We are also celebrating Dia De Los Muertos and building an Ofrenda to honor our loved ones that have passed. We encourage guests to bring framed pictures of their loved ones, flowers, candles, and anything special that reminds them of their loves.
I think one of the best ways to honor our loved ones that have passed is to Celebrate their life.

Join us for Our Celebration of Life this Monday November 2nd, it will surely be a feast to remember.

Yesterday we had an Epic FEAST!

I joked that when I am really excited to cook for people I love that I have NO restraint. And the Celebration of @kate_counts 12 years at @chspourhouse was in need of 12 special courses to celebrate.
Courses I tried to keep small-ish.
Courses I made with LOVE.
Courses I prepped with my sisters for my sisters.
Courses created together with community.

And we danced and ate our way through a breezy, gorgeous, sprinkly afternoon under the pecan tree!

I have never done a tasting menu quite like this before.
And I got to personally pass around every single course, and I loved every second of it. Thanks to my dear friend Joel @joeltnorman we had a super smooth and super fun service. One where I could step out in to a Grateful Dead dance party?! @jerrytripsters @chspourhouse what a dream we dreamed one afternoon!

We drank, literally, all the coffee! ☕️
@kingbeanroaster

And every time we sip some more love out of Danielle’s incredible mugs, we will remember today and our celebration together. @front_porch_potter

My heart is so full.

Thank you for being you Kate. You are such a gift to all of us. @kate_counts

Starting the morning dancing with you and Danielle to this song was the perfect start to our day.

This picture was from the first ever Poho Yoga 12 years ago.

I keep trying to put into words what this class, the people, the space, the Poho family, the relationships, the music, the movement, the action aligned service, the pecan tree, the art, the high fives and the frontline mean to me…

If you know me, I am rarely lost for words, but how do you put into words something that means the world to you, that changed your life, actually saved your life and brings you hope every Sunday for the last 12 years?

For now all I have is:

It turns about better than you could ever imagine.

Be You.
Find your people.
Dare to dream.
Find the courage to act.
Don’t you ever stop believing.

Tomorrow we have a very special Saturday edition of Poho Yoga in collaboration with @afeastforus a vision that came to life because @chefmayamorrill believes in the power of bringing people together through the shared experience of enjoying a meal.

Maya embodies what the Poho class has always been about. Anchoring into your personal values and finding your role in making this world a better, kinder, empathetic place to live. Thank you Maya for creating @afeastforus 💜

The @chspourhouse is the one place in Charleston where you can always show up as your authentic self, you can dance, sing, eat and soak up the creative magic that Alex and Vannesa dreamed into reality over two decades ago. Alex and @vlu102 thank you doesn’t even come close to express what your dream means to the CHS community.

You see, the PoHo Family is this expansive web of musicians, tomorrow we have the @jerrytripsters playing an acoustic set during brunch. Artisans, our dear sista Danielle from @front_porch_potter has made custom mugs that everyone gets to take home alongside a bag of locally roasted coffee from @kingbeanroaster

All we need is YOU to make the magic happen!

Grab a ticket via the PoHo website and let’s spend a Saturday morning together celebrating 12 years of movement, music and connection!

I am working on a writing piece so I can really express what these 12 years have meant. I would love to hear from you, please drop in the comments your Poho yoga love. 💜
Also any pics you have! by @afeastforus

We are so grateful to have Danielle @front_porch_potter making Mugs for our Brunch Feast next Saturday October 17th @chspourhouse

Here’s a sweet video she sent me of one of the mugs in progress! So much time and love goes in to the craft of these vessels of love. It really is fascinating to watch.
