It’s always fun to compete 🤪

#softball #americanfreedom #dfwsoftball by @affrisco2032

Last night, our girls spent some time on the mental side of the game and worked on building a reset routine for when things don’t go their way.

Because strikeouts happen. Errors happen. Bad calls happen. Frustration definitely happens. That’s part of competing.

But the goal isn’t to teach them to “not think.” We want them thinking. We want them locked in enough to know the situation, know their job and know what they’re trying to accomplish every single pitch.

The goal is learning how to keep the last pitch from stealing the next one.

So we’re building a routine: release it, reset, refocus. Take a breath. Wipe the dirt. Tap your glove. Say your word. Whatever works for you — then get back to the questions that actually matter:

What’s my job right now? How many outs? Where are the runners? Where’s my play? What’s my approach?

Good players get frustrated too. We’re just working on getting back to the next pitch a little faster every time.

We don’t need our girls thinking less. We want them thinking better. Let go of the last pitch, get back to the present, know your job and go compete. 🥎 by @affrisco2032

And on the weekends, we ball 🥎

First things first… meet AF Frisco 2032 🥎

A little softball. A lot of personality. And absolutely no concept of personal space. 😂

Excited to finally have a place to share all the ball, chaos & everything in between.
