Dad I don’t even know how to process that you are no longer here. The one I would talk to on my worst days and the first person I wanted to tell about my great days..and now you’re just gone. 💔 You are my EVERYTHING. The person I’ve always ran to in life for advice. My go to person. My protector. The most positive and loving person I know. You taught me how to have a voice. To stand for what’s right. How to be strong. How to be intentional. To trust God. How to pray, and how to look at life through a different lens. You inspire me. Nothing feels the same here without you. I miss our talks. positive quotes you’d send every morning or song you wanted me to listen to. The loss of a parent changes you in ways you never thought possible. But gives you strength you never thought was possible. Although I know our time here on earth is limited compared to an eternity in heaven, knowing you won’t be here to see your 2 grandchildren grow saddens me to my core. You always made us feel special. With your words and actions daily. You devoted your entire life to your kids and your family. Not only did you make it a priority to show up for eveyone, you were always the first one there. Every birthday celebration, dance recital, gymnastics competition, cheer practice, school plays, family dinners, holidays, and more! I can here you telling me “ it’s all about your priorities Afton “ I learned so much from you. I owe so much to you..

I knew I could count on my dad no matter what. His word meant something. His loyalty was unmatched and his love was UNCONDITIONAL. He was the best dad. He was a SUPER DAD!

Life is so unpredictable not only did we burry my dad on March 5th, my step dad of 30 years passed away a month later on April 7th. The day before my daughters birthday.

Gutted, but untouchable. Life can’t scare you when you’ve lived through your worst fear. Grief isn’t a storm you pass through unchanged it’s reconstruction. Who am I becoming now? With everything they’ve taught me? They both deserves a legacy they can be proud of. It lives on through me in all the things they’ve taught me.🕊️🕊️♾️ I love you both forever until we meet again one day. Watch over us in heaven. by @afftonn

Happy 2 year anniversary baby. You make me feel love , seen , valued, heard, and appreciated EVERY SINGLE day. Not just today, but everyday. I love the way we honor our relationship. I thank God for you. I prayed for you. You embody so many beautiful qualities. Family man, Your word is your bond, you show up for your people, you move with integrity and intention. Always pushing me to be my best. You have changed my life. An angel in human form. I truly believe my grandmother sent you to me. ( today is also her birthday ) I know I tell you all the time I wish you could have meet her and you always tell me you are through me. I love how spontaneous our relationship is. The way we laugh together. The way you love not only me but Amaya touches me deeply. Seeing you love and protect us is one of the most beautiful things I get to witness. The way you’ve taught me to face challenges head on while always reminding me of my crown. You inspire me just by being youself. It is a blessing to experience you up close and personal.
