It’s been a while since I’ve been able to finish a piece. Completing this feels like a new chapter has just opened for me. This painting is called “Kids At Play” or what my parents like to call “Deki Erey.” This painting combines my beautiful Habesha culture and my passion for creating wearable works of art. With a sprinkle of inspiration from Amine’s new album, 13 Months of Sunshine. This might just be the best piece I’ve ever painted. Being an artist is such a blessing♥️ #habesha #art #handpaintedclothing by @afomiathequeen

Thank you @redken for having me and @leysahairandmakeup for the love and care that went into my hair. It was amazing to be in a room full of people that care about my hair as much as I do 💜 taken in Manhattan, New York by @afomiathequeen
