POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Night Blooming Jasmine (previously Coffee Blues) was something I’ve been wanting to make since 2021 (first year of film school, wow). It was a little side project, an experiment that got larger and larger and then abandoned. Started with those two little guys. Matt and David. It wasn’t supposed to be David Lynch, but it turned out that way and I liked it. Having David Lynch as your friend, one you could talk to about your woes seemed like solid gold and apple pie. He’s no longer with us, which I guess propelled me to make this a sort of tribute. He’s always been very inspiring to me. You listen to him for a bit and you feel alright. It was once a very different little movie. I like it as is now and I’d hope he would have… not hated it (especially cause most of you will see it on “your *fucking* phone” — he’s right, get real…) It’s also probably dumb to post this here instead of stupid brain rot or influencer short form content, but fuck it. There were a couple of people that helped me with this — now I can say, years ago — I’d like to thank them anyways, wherever they may be. What matters is: it got done. Hope you enjoy it. taken in The Waiting Room by @afonso.f.lucas

the fool on the hill

You doodle to get your mind out of things.
Then you remember that when you were little, you wanted to draw comics… and after all this time I’m still telling stories with images taken in A Hill by @afonso.f.lucas

i was taught that love was earned and not given
everybody’s a critic nowadays
and no one’s forgiven

my sweetheart the drunk takes her wine
she’s only a passing reflection
maybe there’ll be love one day, give it time

- to those who feel stuck, because it happens to us all every so often - painting is a good way to soothe ourselves - because all paintings are pretty - even if the subject matter is rotten taken in WAH-WAH by @afonso.f.lucas
