Reflective today. This pic is my own personal artwork from a grief therapy workshop I participated in several years ago. The white represents the Universal tie of Love that connects us all. The black had a certain personal meaning for me but it can be seen more generally as us, the inhabitants of this great planet. As much as we may not acknowledge it, 'we' are connected. Whatever your thoughts are about others, whatever you do to or for others as well as yourself has a ripple effect. Please don't under estimate the impact that the simple things you do have on the world around you. Trust me, you matter♡♡♡ Happy Tuesday by @afpulley

WE GOT CLEAR MARGINS OVER HERE!!🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿 There was a small amount of cancer still in the left breast, but the surgeon was able to get clear margins! 2 out of 5 lymph nodes contained bits of cancer so radiation is up next to clean up any microscopic cancer cells left behind. I’m telling you right now, I’m so grateful!! (If you read this far down, just know, when I’m fully healed up, I’m gonna be a whole menace. I mean UNRULY. Don’t say nothing to me about it either. Smile and be happy for me that I’m living, or hush and move out of the way😂 I got some things to catch up on😉) #doublemastectomy #aestheticflatclosure #butgod🙏🏾 #pathologyresults by @afpulley

(Supporting the community.) I woke up late and threw on a robe. Heard a gentle knock on my door as I padded to the kitchen. Peeped, and two children, around 7, were waiting to see if the door would open. Immediately, I opened the door, wondering if they needed help. And prepared to do so.
“We’re selling bracelets.”
Me, hair standing up and out like fringe on the bottom of an old sweater, “How much are they?”
“One dollar. Each.”
Me, “Hold on.” I start scrambling through my move-in boxes for that old change purse. Please let me have a few quarters or a dollar bill.
Me, “Here you go,” and watched their faces light up when they saw the two crisp dollar bills.
I bought one from each of them. They seemed to look taller as I watched them walk away through the peep hole. #buildcommunitywhereyouare #blackchildjoy🤎 by @afpulley
