"It takes two" Mixed media on canvas 30 cm x 40 cm . Inspired after a lunch date, then made almost overnight for a submission deadline, with absolutely no idea if this little experiment would make it through. And somehow, it did. 🤎 Selected alongside some phenomenal artists aka @muniza.geometry , “It Takes Two” will be displayed on a shelf at the Pinterest Space by @kav_ahangar in Dubai Design District, as part of Dubai Design Week 2026. From walking through Design Week admiring other people’s work, to having my own humble pieces find a little place within it… did this soul come a long way. :’) Thank you @studiothirteen_dxb for giving my work a place to be seen . #keepcreating #dubaidesignweek #artistlife #getinspired by @afreinnasir
Mia . A dog that’s literally Missing in Action ❤️ . Thank you so much for showing the warmth and love to this piece. I am manifesting today that every single person whether rich or broke and between can and can’t , take a moment to help the voiceless by taking complete responsibility for them. Ameen ✨✨ . As I opened Instagram yesterday to edit this reel, @mohsinzaman ‘s post with a snippet of this song popped up. “How fitting” I thought. I remember hearing to Mohsin play back in an era when Club House was a thing / rage. A soul who used to bless our ears with stairway sessions. How far have you come 🥹 Do check out his account and give him a follow. This world needs more people who write and make music from the heart ❤️ . To the ones who found a forever home ❤️ . #mia #bts #plasterart #textureart #artreveal by @afreinnasir
Mia Oct 2026 - ∞ 60cm x 90cm Plaster and acrylic on canvas . When I sketched the layout of this piece, would you believe if I told you, the edge breaks at her hind - the hind that broke because of the accident - unintentionally? The grey street and the stone she is on is the exact same stone I need to cross to get in and out of my building. The stone carries her dried blood spots. Would you believe if i told you, I knew this dog for just two hours before I left her, to only realise she will forever stay with me no matter what moment I reign? . Grief is an interesting feeling. #bts drop tomorrow #plasterart #textureart #memoirofadog by @afreinnasir

I have new found respect for palette knives ❤️ I think it’s the freeness of working through with the paint, the endless possibilities of texture art and the beauty of layering - all experienced on this one canvas. . As someone who is mastering perspective points, @adamgenesisartuniverse thank you for all that you share. Here is my very humble attempt at one point. May you continue to inspire a thousands! . . . #bts #textureart #perspective #studiosessions #alhmdulillah by @afreinnasir
Seven Nights Acrylic on MDF board 60 × 90 cm For most of my life, I grew up in a home where wearing the hijab was never expected. Modesty was taught, but the choice was always ours. Like many girls of my generation, I grew up in jeans, sleeveless tops, skirts, scraped knees, and all the freedoms of a childhood that never questioned those things. In short, I was a mascot for a Tomboy…and December 2019 happened and my world changed .. for the better. In my quiet peaceful sleep, I found myself walking through an old brick tunnel covered in moss. Every shade of green seemed to live on those walls. I can still smell the wet smell of fresh and old moss. The tunnel stretched into the distance until, at the very end, stood a figure holding a piece of cloth. The figure never spoke. Never moved toward me. Never frightened me. It was simply there. Night after night, the dream returned unchanged, like a single frame repeating itself. For seven straight nights. On the eighth morning, I woke up and decided to wear the hijab. No explanations. no confrontations with the family. That night the dream never came back. Till date. Over the years, people have often asked me how my hijab journey began, especially since no one in my immediate family wore it. For a long time, I would simply tell this story. But somewhere along the way, I knew I wanted to paint it. This work is that painting. Nearly seven years later, I am still trying to figure out but no for certain that it was never just about a dream. This piece of cloth became a doorway into countless rooms, conversations, questions, challenges, and discoveries. I still find myself navigating the space between spirituality and religion, certainty and seeking which I don’t always have the answers to. What I do know is that I am grateful that I found myself in that tunnel those seven nights. . #afreinnasir #hijabjourney #textureart #acryliconboard #personaldiaries by @afreinnasir
Alserkal Avenue, Sep 2026 . The season has opened and it definitely has brought along with it different ideas, materials, conversations and ways of looking at art across the Avenue this month. I always love seeing the place shift with every new show — familiar spaces becoming something completely different, artists bringing in new work, and the conversations around it all changing with them. A little collage of what I managed to catch this weekend. And honestly, there’s something really special about having so much art happening around you. 🤍 Here’s to more looking, discovering, questioning and getting pleasantly surprised by art. . #dubaiart #dubaiculture #alserkalavenue #openseason #art by @afreinnasir
Went to see Studio, Wounds, and Battles by @dom_artprojects , and honestly, I really loved the idea behind this presentation. So good to see my friends @rabila.kidwai and @saramasinaei showing their work here, and also to spend time with the works of Aisha Alhammadi, Divyaaunshi Purohit, Joumana Mortada, Meher Afroz Vahid and Teng Miras. ❤️ I think as artists, we’re so used to thinking about the outcome — the exhibition, the finished piece, whether it’s good enough, whether people will understand it. And sometimes you just need a space to figure things out. Which this exhibition quite truly showcases. . Exhibition is on till 18 Oct 2026. Do check these works out! . #domarts #exhibition #galleryhoping #artistsindubai by @afreinnasir
If there was an anti curated club, this post would help me get a lifetime membership in it. Embracing an eventful life, uncoordinated plans, cheering artist friends, surprise workshops, work calls during art hours, library days, fun hangouts - all around art, books and pizza. And the season is just about to begin 🫢🥳✨ . #alhmdulillah #staytuned by @afreinnasir
