We are weaving together 54 states - through humanity, trade, finance, technology, sport, agriculture, infrastructure and diplomacy. Together, this network accounts for 64% of global GDP if Africa kept and reinvested the wealth extracted from it. That's $5.83 trillion today - at minimum. Which is exactly why the world can no longer afford to misread Africa.

By any measure - people, land, economy, ideas - Africa is not next. Africa is now. And it is undeniably the future. That's why we must show Africa from the inside out, in our own voice, telling how this mega-region is uniting and how its youth are positively remaking the world.

Tonight belonged to every South African who believes that memory, identity, dignity are worth protecting and worth funding properly. It is a privilege to serve in restoring the legacy of Reverend Tiyo Soga. We do not just remember history, we restore it.

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Women's March to the Union Buildings we erected and unveiled the Invisible Women Echo bench in partnership with the African I See NPC, The Green Net, She Evolves, Improx Executive Circle and Secret Sands at Glenmore Beach, Durban South Coast.

Celebrating the remarkable impactful women in our communities who are making positive impact.

Women cannot neglect their own path. Their stories should not be footnotes. Their stories need to be amplified.

Women cannot fail to call on progress or progress won't be made. Women need to refuse to be invisible. Women need to stand up and do positive things that provide upliftment in our communities.

When women lead, women act upon the purpose God implanted.

We have grown accustomed to the leadership of iMbokodo in this country. Let's us continue to celebrate the echoes of the invisible women, recognizing them and cultivating their legacy and seeing our communities through their lens.

This is the role we need to nurture in younger women in South Africa, to learn to recognize the efforts of those who paved the way before them. So they too may rise up and shine through their stories.

The commitment to this initiative is driven by the call that Africa needs more change makers to drive and prioritize social change. by @africanmonarchgroup
