Today, from Wicked Jam Productions, we honor the memory of Lee "Scratch" Perry (1936โ€“2021), the father of dub and sonic architect of Black Ark Studio, 5 years after his passing. Without Scratch there would be no roots reggae as we know it, no sound system culture that we still breathe in every studio session, every echo, every bassline that shakes an entire street. He was the first to treat the mixing console as a spiritual instrument โ€” and that philosophy still guides every production that comes out of our yard. At Foundation Yard Crew we carry his legacy forward: Jamaican roots, African heritage, and the studio as a temple of creation. Every riddim we record carries his invisible signature. Thank you, Upsetter. Your fire still lights up every sound system in the world. ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ฒ๐Ÿ”ฅ Rest in Dub โ€” Lee "Scratch" Perry (1936โ€“2021) ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ Wicked Jam Productions | Foundation Yard Crew #LeeScratchPerry #Dub #Reggae #RootsReggae #BlackArk TheUpsetter WickedJamProductions FoundationYardCrew JamaicanMusic RestInDub SoundSystemCulture DubOrganizer by @afro_flux
