Join us for our next Candle making workshop next month!!!

The day entails a luxury Candle -making workshop and a Caribbean dining experience. Hosted by Angelica, founder of Tribal Unicorn Candle Bar, alongside Kemelia, founder of Afrobbean Kitchen. This immersive session brings together creativity, fragrance and food in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

You’ll be guided step by step through the candle-making process, with no prior experience required. The workshop is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all, offering a calm and inspiring space to learn a new skill. Working with a curated library of fragrances, you’ll create your own luxury candle using vegan-friendly coconut wax. This experience goes beyond the basics of candle making. You’ll have the opportunity to personalise your candle with a selection of design elements and embellishments, allowing you to create a finished piece that reflects your individual style.

As part of this collaboration, guests will enjoy a Caribbean meal prepared by Afrobbean Kitchen, the options include Curry Chickpea or Curry Chicken Roti.
@theuntraditionalpub will provide a pint, glass of wine, rum punch or a soft drink alongside your meal.

By the end of the two hour session, you’ll leave with a new creative skill and a limited-edition 200g luxury scented candle, designed and styled by you, ready to take pride of place in your home.

All candle-making materials, equipment and protective clothing are provided.

We celebrated Black History month yesterday for our third year of Autumn Jam presented by @afrobbeankitchen @afrobbean_events

Thank you to everyone who grabbed a free ticket via Eventbrite or simply showed up and supported in any shape or form, we appreciate you.

From young children to elders, everyone was welcomed, valued and embraced.

This is what community looks like:
Mutual appreciation, Shared joy, Collective strength, Intergenerational unity

What a beautiful blend of talent we had- culture and togetherness.

@mbilla_arts African Drumming @tonitones_cbe Soca workshop with Toni @wf_flames_basketball with Josh @the_segatasticgirls brought movement, rhythm and creativity that kept our guests entertained from start to finish.

Alongside the entertainment and performances, the day was packed with fashion flair @ethnicroyals @studiojnklndn hair braiding artistry @delishbyade @rolleddelights sweet treats & @sabahartistry @rainbowfacepainting face & body art - all adding colour, culture and excitement to the atmosphere.

Big shout out to @givebloodspreadlove @positiveeast @trescalou @sicklecelluk for the outreaches throughout the day.

And let’s not forget the quiz with @afrobbean_events …………..
the one that sparked a little debate, controversy and a whole lot of laughter. Exactly the kind of interactive fun that brings people closer together.

To every performer, every creative, every volunteer, every guest we thank you.
Your energy is what makes these events come alive. Your presence is what turns a simple gathering into a community celebration.

Together we rise- no competing, no comparing, just supporting one another. That’s my kinda vibe and the energy I stand on. That’s the community I’m proud to be a part of!

AUTUMN JAM BLACK HISTORY MONTH EDITION @cratesjs 🎉🎉🎉

There’s something powerful about community‑spirited people showing appreciation for one another’s talents. When you find your tribe -the people who uplift, encourage, and celebrate each other- you hold onto them, grow with them and rise with them.

Yesterday I was not feeling 💯% but God got me through it 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

@soulmahosany Thank you for the flowers & your kind words
@wf_flames_basketball your appreciation and acknowledgment always
@mbilla_arts your gentle messages of encouragement & united spirit
@yashna.crawford your ray of light & uplifting words, even from the day before the event
❤️💡

From the planning and organising to choosing the right performers, traders, creatives and helpers, every step is intentional. And even though people say, “Thank you so much for putting this event on,” the truth is simple- there would be no event without them. Their energy, their presence and willingness to show up is what makes the day come alive.

I genuinely love bringing these events together. Watching the community gather, celebrating life, navigating its testing times and sharing joy is a blessing. The smiles alone make every late night, anxiety the night before, every bit of reassessment, every checklist and every decision worth it.

Highlights of the day soon to come as I collate more evidence 👀👀 by @afrobbean_events

Our lovely @trescalou from @positiveeast - East LONDON’S HIV and sexual health charity, providing better futures for those living with or affected by HIV will be popping up tomorrow for an outreach.

Two years ago she joined us and shared her story with the audience. I’ve known her three years now and what an amazing woman she is.

Join us for an empowering outreach with @ Tresca exploring critical topics in sexual health and wellness within Black communities. I kid you not Tresca is honest and open to conversation and spreading awareness in the community.

The first Friday of the month Tresca attends @cratesjs offering testings and bloods, booking is made via @positive east or you can just turn up.

She will be offering her services tomorrow at our Autumn Jam BHM event.

As part of our BHM AUTUMN JAM @afrobbean_events have joined forces with @sicklecelluk & @givebloodspreadlove for an outreach

If you didn’t know, Black blood donors are urgently needed!
Many Sickle Cell Warriors rely on RO blood type matches, yet only 3% of UK donors come from the Black community. We can change that.

Tomorrow at Autumn Jam, we’re sharing information, guidance and handouts on how you can become a donor and support families living with Sickle Cell every day.

This is real impact, real love, real community strength.
Let’s show up. Let’s do better. Let’s protect our Warriors.

Not everyone can donate blood due to health reasons or simply your personal choice but everyone can help to raise awareness!
