Stephenie Adjei is a choreographer and dancer dedicated to building community through movement. Over the past year, she has focused on pouring into her students, creating spaces that encourage growth, connection, and confidence. Committed to learning from the source, she has trained internationally—attending camps like Oyofe Dance Camp in Barcelona and taking private classes in Ghana with pioneers in the Azonto community.

Stephenie has performed alongside renowned artists including Davido, Rema, Stonebwoy, and D’banj. While her performance experience spans global stages, her true calling lies in fostering community and using dance as a tool for healing, empowerment, and cultural connection.

LA, first up on our lineup of instructors this month is our Afrohouse 👑@idilsa
•
Here’s why you should take her class:

Idilsa Tavares is a renowned professional dancer and four-time Swiss Champion in the Hip-Hop dance category. In 2017, she founded the Afro Roots movement to share the many benefits of Afro dances, earning her the title of Swiss pioneer in African dances, Idilsa’s international presence was solidified in 2019 when she performed alongside Madonna during her world tour Madame X and mentored Madonna’s daughter, Mercy James. In 2020, she launched Afro/ID Concept, a platform dedicated to showcasing the richness and diversity of African dances through classes, events, and projects. Her achievements culminated in 2021 when she was named the dancer of the year of the African diaspora in Switzerland. Now based in Los Angeles, Idilsa continues to thrive as a professional dancer and choreographer,
having signed with a top dance agency.

Woking with different artists from both the Hip-Hop and Afro scenes, she has collaborated with top artists such as Akon, Wizkid, Olamide, Darkoo, Kool & The Gang, The Headliners, among many others.
She also teaches in world-renowned studios in LA!
