@africon.global 2025 was one for the books 🙌🏾

Africon 2025 wasn’t just a social gathering. It was a catalyst for economic empowerment. This year’s event went beyond networking and entertainment by positioning culture as an engine to remove barriers, open doors, and fuel real opportunities for community.

We’re deeply grateful to be recognized as a community partner - an opportunity provided through @linkempower. Thank you for giving our members the opportunity to experience culture at such a high level and for affirming the role of community organizations in driving access, representation, and prosperity.

See you in 2026! #africon taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @afroretta_

We kicked off with 3, Gathered as 8, and ended last night 20 members strong 💪🏾

Before kicking off this initiative, We knew there was a need for space where black men could show up authentically in Alpharetta so we created that!

If you see the opportunity for a underserved group in the city we would love to connect with you on how we can continue to provide spaces like this.

Huge shout out to @cutters_cigars for the great atmosphere and service, consistently

See you all next month ✊🏾 by @afroretta_

When was the last time you felt celebrated?

Our third annual Juneteenth celebration was about more than trophies, awards, and recognition. It was about visibility. It was about uplifting the champions in our own backyard and honoring the people who make our community stronger every day.

From an early morning yoga session to the recognition of Honorary Community Member, every moment was intentionally centered around the impact we create together.

This celebration reminded us that community is built through connection, service, and the collective effort of people committed to making a difference.

Thank you to our partners @energyxperience and @lululemon, volunteers, vendors, and attendees for helping bring this vision to life and creating a space where our community could heal, connect, and experience Black joy.

Here’s to continuing the work and celebrating those who help move our community forward.

Field Day Activated! 🏆

In addition to our curated health and wellness boutique, children’s playground, and family-friendly activities, we’re excited to officially announce our fitness schedule. 🙌🏾

Start your morning with yoga instructed by @angelbabylex , then join @energyxperience for high-energy, but inclusive, fitness sessions throughout the Afternoon.

What’s a Field Day without a little friendly competition?

The winning families from our Field Day challenges will take home the Dr. Kelly C. McCants Award, named in honor of a man who embodied the mission and vision of Family Daze through his daily commitment to health, wellness, service, and community. Dr. McCants was a true pillar of the Alpharetta community and his impact continues to inspire us all.

June 20th, the games begin. Are you ready? 🏅🎉 taken in Alpharetta, Georgia by @afroretta_
