FRIENDSGIVING, our most anticipated event of the year, is quickly approaching and it’s going to be a MOVIE. 🎬✨

The AfterHours vibe you know and love is getting an upgrade for one unforgettable night. Think elegance, expensive cologne, beautiful people, incredible food, and a room full of Black & Brown excellence. And of course, a Friendsgiving isn’t complete without a feast. Smokin’ Lanes BBQ & Seafood is back to cater the night! This is our chance to get dressed up, gather around the table, celebrate friendship, make new connections, and look back at everything we’ve accomplished together this year.

Whether you’ve been rocking with us from the beginning or we just met you this summer, you’re part of the story and part of what makes AfterHours what it is. Every time we come together, somehow it feels like family. This Friendsgiving, we’re celebrating all of it—the old friends, the new ones, the memories we’ve made, and everything we’ve built together.

We’ll celebrate our community, recognize scholarship recipients from years past, and raise a glass to the people and moments that made this year special.

Let’s face it, making genuine connections as an adult isn’t as easy as it used to be.

We go out hoping to meet new people, put together the fit, make the plans, show up…and still somehow spend the night surrounded by people without really connecting with anyone.

That’s why we created AfterHours. We’re bringing back nights where you actually talk to people. Where games break the ice, strangers become familiar faces, and you leave feeling like your night out was actually worth it.

COUSINS, IT’S BEEN TOO LONG! 🥹 We missed you, so we’re hosting a lil’ kickback so we can finally spend some time together—and this time, YOU’RE ON THE AUX! 🎶

That’s right, you’re helping us build the playlist. Tired of going to events and never hearing the songs you actually wanna hear? When you grab your ticket, send us your song requests and help set the vibe for the night.

Expect a night full of games, food, music, dancing, laughs, and real connections with some familiar faces and hopefully many new ones. Come cozy, come cute, come ready to play! We just want the whole room to feel like one big family function. Throughout the night, head over to our neighbors at Trumbull Kitchen to grab a drink, then come right back to the REC for our party with a purpose. 🤞🏽🔥🤎

And we mean it when we say you’re on the AUX—R&B, Hip-Hop, Afrobeats, Dancehall, Throwbacks, Gospel, Pop… we wanna hear what YOU wanna hear. 🎧

Through your attendance and support of AfterHours: The Cultural Link Up, Petals & S.T.E.M. is proud to provide $2,000 in scholarships and educational support to three incredible young women of color as they take the next steps toward their dreams. To every guest, vendor, and sponsor thank you.❤️

These women represent exactly why Petals & S.T.E.M. exists. They are future physicians, scientists, leaders, and changemakers who have demonstrated a commitment not only to their education, but to serving their communities and creating opportunities for the girls and women who will come after them.

Our mission has always been rooted in representation, mentorship, and ensuring that young women of color have the support and community they deserve as they pursue spaces where we have historically been underrepresented. Supporting their journeys is an investment in what comes next.

And you helped make it possible. Every AfterHours ticket purchased and every event attended helps us turn community and connection into tangible opportunities for the next generation.

We couldn’t be prouder to celebrate our 2026 recipients and all that lies ahead for them. 💐
