Back on the road representing @afterlife.inc at @mcmcomiccon Birmingham after a couple of years away. It's a surreal experience to be out and about again. We've been working hard on Tiny Hercules, exploring this whole new chapter of our lives, but comic con is where it all began, and it's nice to know I've still got it in me (even if the tiredness is real). A particularly surreal touch is that moments before we set off yesterday, I took receipt of our first finished copy of Tiny Hercules book 1 - and it's absolutely beautiful! I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out. It's so gratifying to hold the culmination of so much time and effort and love, and I can't wait to get this out into the world in February. Also, nice to see Tiny Hercules alongside his older graphic novel brothers. What a journey. Cheers folks. Hope you have a great show! #tinyhercules #mcm #mcmbirmingham #artistalley #mcmcomiccon taken in MCM Birmingham Comic Con by @afterlife.inc

All set up for @maccpowcomicartfestival... and in very good company! Good to back on the road with @afterlife.inc and the new convention set-up, which is looking great so far. Hot, hot... far too hot... but coping. Great to be here! taken in Macc-Pow by @afterlife.inc

It's that time of year again... Winds of change bring a new round of updates to the convention set-up. Some signage still to design and print, but happy with the general structure. It's lightweight and easy to transport - which is a winning combination! by @afterlife.inc

What a week! I haven't done much filming over the last couple of days - mostly because the tripod was holding up the laser level rather than my phone - but we're nearly there. A few captions left to write/print, and some 'features' to assemble, but yeah... nearly there. Hard to believe it's all come together. A day off from the studio tomorrow, then back in for the big launch on Friday. Don't forget to grab your tickets if you haven't done so already! Hope to see you there! AFTERLIFE INC. Day 4 gallery renovation complete - and the first day in which I didn't end up covered in paint, filth and pain! A massive thank you to the @phoenix_consultants_glos boys for the loan of the laser level, which made hanging prints so much easier. Locations are fixed but I'll be shuffling the prints around before the show opens, so don't assume this is the final layout. Plenty more to go, so roll on tomorrow. Oh, and don't forget to book your FREE tickets, folks. Hope to see you there! AFTERLIFE INC. IN EXHIBITION To celebrate the completion of Afterlife Inc. Day 3 of gallery renovation ahead of the exhibition, and it's nothing but painting and painting (and coffee) and painting. Shaping up nicely though. Hope to see you there! AFTERLIFE INC. Day 2 of the gallery renovation is complete! A massive thank you to Lucy and Nich (who was also beavering away on Tiny Hercules in the background). That's the first coat of paint on the walls and the last of the blinds installed. Also, it was gratifying to learn that my 'quick release' hanging system for the floating art-boards actually worked, and didn't immediately fall apart. This bodes well for the exhibition and the general safety of attendees! Don't forget to grab your FREE tickets if you want to see them in action! AFTERLIFE INC. Spotted in the Gloucester Citizen... it's me! A massive thank you to ace reporter Mikal for the great article and photos (despite my dishevelled, mid-project beard) and for letting me wax lyrical about the Afterlife Inc. exhibition at Jolt Studios next week. If you haven't done so already, there's still time to get your FREE tickets and help celebrate the launch of Volume 7. I hope to see you there! AFTERLIFE INC.
