This week for science we leaned about mushrooms 🍄‍🟫🍄

We studied the anatomy and different varieties, read a lot of books and of course incorporated crafts and cooking into the week!

We foraged for things to create birds nests with, dissected an owl pellet, read lots of books and did drawings and water color paintings!

A simple first day of autumn with my preschooler 🍂🤎

We welcomed the new season with a few cozy fall books, an easy autumn craft and a scavenger hunt for signs of fall. Nothing elaborate just a slow afternoon spent reading, creating and exploring outside together.

I’m learning that making childhood feel magical doesn’t have to mean creating more work for myself. Sometimes it’s simply pausing long enough to notice the season changing.

Save this for simple fall activities. 🍁

Our favorite autumn books 🍂📚

I love using seasonal books to help make our preschool lessons feel connected to what we are seeing outside.

Save this for your next library trip or fall preschool unit. 🤎
