Why I stopped forcing myself into one YouTube niche, and how I manage filmmaking, gaming, live esports, and breakdancing content without burning out.

Ag Whatever is a creative lifestyle channel for filmmakers, gamers, makers, nerds, hobby collectors, and anyone whose interests refuse to fit into one box. I’m done overthinking it. This is what happens when you just press record.

On this channel, you’ll find:
• Filmmaking gear, camera bags, behind-the-scenes production, and creative workflow
• Live esports broadcasts, events, gaming projects, and tech experiments
• Warhammer miniature painting, hobby collecting, weird builds, and hands-on tests
• Breakdancing culture, creative projects, and the real process behind making things

Managing multiple YouTube channels can be difficult when your passions span filmmaking, gaming, and creative culture. In this video, I explain why I created Ag Whatever, why I stopped trying to pick a single niche, and how consolidating my projects helps me protect my creative freedom.

If you’re a creator dealing with niche fatigue, struggling to balance multiple interests, or looking for filmmaking and gaming content with no restrictions, subscribe for weekly creative journey updates.

This was my first mirrorless camera the Sony A7S. This changed the game and I got such amazing stories from this piece of equipment.

Did any of you get this camera and what was your favourite story told on it?

A tournament is just the starting point.

If we want gaming and esports to keep growing, we need to create experiences that give people a reason to show up, connect, create and be part of something bigger than the competition.

For Marvel Tōkon, we wanted to explore what happens when you bring players, creators, production and community together under one roof.

Because the future of gaming events isn't just about who wins.

It's about what we build around the game. 🎮

A great event deserves a stream that feels like an event.

For the Marvel Tōkon South Africa launch, we built the broadcast from the ground up, bringing together the players, creators, gameplay and energy of the room and turning it into something people could experience from anywhere.

It’s not just about putting a camera on a match.

It’s about building the show around it.

What happens when you put players and creators in the same room?

You get more than just matches.

For the Marvel Tōkon South Africa launch, we wanted to create a space where people could play, compete, share ideas and connect beyond the screen.

Because games bring people together, but it’s the connections that make the experience memorable.

A glimpse behind what we were building. 🎮

Gaming events are about more than just the game.

For the Marvel Tōkon South Africa launch, we brought players and creators together to play, compete, talk trash, and actually connect.

Because sometimes the best part of a game isn’t what happens on the screen it’s the people you meet around it.

This is a little piece of what that looked like. 🎮

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with some amazing brands and incredibly talented people from dancers, to artists, to designers.

It’s not always easy being in this industry, but while making this and reflecting on some past shoots, we’re incredibly grateful for our journey and hope to continue creating and meeting incredible new people along the way.

We hope you enjoy our showreel 🫶🏽

Not something that we do often but, we participated in a @_nikonsouthafrica & @outdoorphotoshop competition for fun 😄 The concept was to shoot a day in the life of a filmmaker using only the Nikon Z6 III.

A special thanks to @ctrl.media__ & @prosalesbroadcast for letting us use their studio for this project 🤩🙌🏽

This was our entry 😎

2020 been a crazy year. I'm normally jumping between 2 cities alot. "CAPE TOWN" & "JOZI" but this year saw a huge slow down. Which I'm greatful for. Been able to stop, think and build up new skills or sharpen existing skills.
