WHICH COACH /MENTOR HAS HAD THE BIGGEST IMPACT ON YOU?

Earlier this week I was asked to present at our @jelliscraig Mt Waverley 2026 Kickstart.
The topic was the path from selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door to building one of Victoria’s strongest real estate teams.

A huge part of that journey—especially early on—was what I chose to let into my mind.
Books. Podcasts. Coaches. Mentors. Training. Conferences.

I became very intentional about blocking out distractions, noise, negative energy and anything outside my control, and instead feeding my mind growth stories, positive self-talk and ideas that expanded what I believed was possible.

That mindset has stayed with me to this day.

So I thought I’d share the books, people and podcasts that had the biggest impact on me.

Three simple things I believe will make the biggest difference in real estate for you in 2026.

1. Practice gratitude daily.
Express it. Say it out loud. Share it. Tell people you love them.
Gratitude keeps you centred, grounded and aligned — especially when things get busy or challenging. It’s not about positivity for show, it’s about perspective.

2. Map the year out properly.
Write your goals down. At the very least commit to 3 professional. 3 personal. Simple.
Block out holidays, family time and recovery before the year fills itself up.
Clarity creates intention. Intention creates momentum.

3. Focus on a deal a day. Yes, you can do it.
Ask yourself each morning: what can I SELL today? Find the deals, create the opportunities, it is unacceptable in a high performance culture to arrive to work and go through the motions. We must have intent to sell daily. We must operate from a baseline of making deals daily. You don’t need to wait for a Saturday to sell a house, do it TODAY !
We waste so much time being busy, keeping data bases clean, letter box dropping (creating content 😜) that we forget about the main game… SALES!

Gratitude - Intention - Action
Follow it and I promise it will be your best year EVER.

In 2026, be a deal maker.
