You know what?

I cannot count the times I have heard in my life that I am TOO something. Too intense. Too demanding, too sensitive, too erotic, too intrusive, overreactive, I cry too much. Too emotional. Once I heard I was a “complicated” woman. The other time that I couldn’t take a joke. Always problem in me and of course it’s me who needs to go smaller, easier, more flexible, more understanding in order to fit into somebody’s world and not to make them feel overwhelmed, uncomfortable or incapable. If your joke is inappropriate, I simply won’t laugh to make you feel validated.
And the thing is that when you are younger, it’s easy to lose yourself as your own point of reference and you end up standing in front of yourself with a red pen correcting the “faults” for the people you want to be accepted by, but who do not even care about you. Then, after some time, you no longer know who you really are. I have questioned myself so many times.
You cannot handle me? Great. Don’t come closer. Don’t interpret my own version of myself knowing not much about me. Find someone better. Less passionate, one dimensional, always understanding, less curious, asking fewer questions, less complicated, but never treat me like I am not enough to fit into somebody else’s expectations.

And now… I just wanted to write that this was a self portrait after my Leica M6 had been repaired but such a long and chaotic essay came out of me in one breath.

A love for October.

Drench me in oil and scent
and deep song and story.

And what a feral thing
to be both
tender and intense,
maternal and erotic,
ancient in the center

and always turning north

A collection of different moments on different films.

The creative process begins in the living.
The walking, the unravelling, the breaking, the understanding, the breathing.

i’m an acquired taste; and if you’ve
never had someone’s scent
make hunger lick its teeth
at the thought of leaving the sheets
looking like a storm spent the night there,
then i’m probably too much for your palate
