It’s been two years without any hair dye. The journey can’t be described. I recently had a kind hearted soul share one of my posts to her stories with a caption “JEALOUS”, “HAIR ENVY” written across the top of it. Most likely not actually jealous, but making an effort to give me a compliment. I appreciated her pure intentions and thanked her. I really want to thank her though, for sending my thoughts into a place, so much deeper than hair. My heart began to hurt as I further contemplated those who may actually scroll through IG feeling jealous, envious or in any way LESS THAN any other woman. My content would be fighting against my objectives, if it hurt another person's self esteem. I am here to spread love and positivity. I hope to make you smile and think about all the goodness you carry within you!! I hope to inspire you to accept the natural aging process as part of your beauty and your journey toward a higher self. Sharing my silver hair transition is my way of caring for my daughters & all women. For me personally, my gray symbolizes acceptance, peace & self love. As I age, I hope to look healthy and radiate light. I want people to see my soul and I want to see the souls of everyone I meet. It is a deeper way of living, listening and seeing. Hair is beautiful and fun and we SHOULD enjoy it!! It is a beautiful part of our physical body. I want to be mindful however that it can become a big part of our identity and we must be careful of that. Our hair, like anything, could be taken from us at any time due to genetics, age or illness. We must believe in our true identity & the beauty of our souls first & foremost. So ladies enjoy your hair! If you want to dye it, have fun!!! If you want to let it go gray, enjoy that!! Above all, be grateful for what you have. There are women who are losing their hair, watching it thin or fall out and I pray they will be granted the greater and far more valuable gift of self love, at the deepest level. I pray we all come to believe our value has nothing to do with our hair but with our souls & our love for each other. This is what accepting my gray hair really means to me. Have you seen the Netflix series Love Story? My mother in law and I were glued to the screen and binged the series in two days! It was deeply emotional on many levels.
