It’s been several months since I last worked at @tastemade and WOW I miss it. It was such a great place to work, with truly some of the greatest people I’ve ever met. I was there for a full 8 YEARS and it’s largely because of the incredible people I got to work alongside. I miss you all, and really hope we get the chance to work together again someday soon. We had it so good for awhile there, and it’s going to be really hard to find a new work situation to top it - that said, your boy’s super employable at the moment, so hit me up if you got a lead! Thanks to all for the memories and friendships and opportunities and growth and support and food and love, it was a blast. ❤️❤️❤️ by @agkeeling

Europe part 2 featuring Vienna and Prague, two of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever seen with so much art and history and culture and cobblestones and delicious brown foods. I loved spending time with the fam in this part of the world, except one thing I hadn’t heard about Prague is that a lot of it feels just like Hollywood Boulevard, only prettier?? It’s like “check out this astronomical clock, it’s older than the United States, isn’t that crazy, also here’s a flyer for this club, it’s just past the 50 souvenir shops and the other clubs and the Popeyes, hope to see you there!” At least it’s all old and gorgeous! Still recovering from all the walking and beer and brown meat with brown sauce, but already missing it all so much! by @agkeeling

Took a family trip to Europe and everything was so old and beautiful and we walked more than 20k steps a day and saw some of the most incredible sights and had a blast at Oktoberfest (I think I’d look good in lederhosen?) and ate lots of delicious brown food (does broccoli not exist in Germany???) and fell in love with the Bavarian countryside and castles and now my goal is to make enough money to build my own private artificial grotto so I can float around alone on my flamboyant little boat and feed my pet swans all day, 10/10 will definitely be back. by @agkeeling

END OF AN ERA. This past weekend we said goodbye to 1675 S Harvard, the house that Austin, Natalie, and I moved into almost a decade ago. I haven’t lived there in years, but it’s been in the fam since 2016, and it’s been the site of so many weird and wonderful events and the source of so much inspiration and creativity. I will miss it dearly.

Farewell 1675. May your future inhabitants be weird witchy artsy theatre kids who scrawl bloody names on the walls and perform demonic rituals in the attic and play thousands of board games and make art and feel big feelings and get messy and grow and learn and struggle and thrive and love like we did. Thank you for housing all our mess, physical and otherwise. A part of me will always haunt your halls. by @agkeeling

Today marks a week since ‘The Shape of The Night’ wrapped in Seattle, and I miss it so much. TODAY IS ALSO MY BIRTHDAY, and my birthday wish is to have more dreamy experiences like this, as often as I can.

Putting a show to bed and saying goodbye to the team that created it is always hard, but especially so with this one. There was something magical going on in the Georgetown Steam Plant for the past few weeks, an electric energy and roaring sense of community that felt rare and special. @theshapeofthenight was a gift, and now that it’s over I’m feeling sad and exhausted, but also wildly lucky and grateful.

I will never forget this experience, and will strive to continue making weird, messy art with incredible collaborators like these as often as I can. I’ll always be chasing the high of handing out teeth to strangers and looking around to see these beautiful, talented, passionate, magical, hilarious, kind, and loving artists running around the Steam Plant and baring their hearts and souls night after night. What a trip it’s been. What a dream.

Thank you so much to the incredible cast and crew who made this beautiful nightmare so special (and shoutout to @theharperbizarre who stepped in at the last minute and absolutely killed it!). I love you all, and can’t wait to do it again. Until next time, my sweet dreamers… it’s time to wake up. by @agkeeling

WOW. A high school performed a show we created. What a wild and unexpected and truly beautiful experience.

We wrote ‘In Another Room’ way back in 2017 - it was our first ever foray into the world of immersive theatre, and what felt like a last ditch effort to overcome an all-consuming creative slump. We weren’t sure what to expect, but it worked, we were hooked, and my life and artistry was forever changed.

It’s been through several iterations since then: we mounted a second season with all new ghost stories the following year, then adapted it into a podcast in 2020, and have taken several stand-alone scenes to the Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans over the years. But never in my wildest dreams would I have guessed that a high school production would be added to the list. And DAMN. It was so good!

It was incredible to see new life breathed into these old ghosts by such an insanely talented, committed, and inspiring group of young actors and theatre kids. What a surreal experience to see scenes I know so well performed in this specific setting and with such care and creativity and heart. I am so moved and so inspired.

To the cast and crew at @ndhstheatreknights - congratulations on the beautifully haunting show, y’all are amazing. And thank you to @wollman.chris for asking us to be a part of this wild ride, and for being brave (crazy?) enough to take on this unique challenge for a group of high school students.

Truly a peak life experience, and a ghost story I will never forget.
