The community brought them here, but that’s not the whole story.

We asked Scotties what made Agnes Scott stand out from the other colleges they were considering. What makes a college feel like the right fit is sometimes something you have to for yourself.

Great Scott is your chance to see what being a Scottie could look like.

Join us for our Fall Open House, on Saturday, October 17 and get a firsthand look at the Agnes Advantage. Meet the people, explore the possibilities and picture yourself here.

Plus, high school seniors who visit campus are eligible for the Agnes Scott Campus Visit Award if they apply and are admitted as first-year students for Fall 2027: $2,000 per year.

Ready to see where you could go? Let us help you find your why. Register through the link in our bio. See you tomorrow! by @agnesscottcollege

Choosing a college is about finding a place where your ambitions have room to grow. A place that challenges your curiosity, encourages you to think boldly and supports you as you discover who you’re becoming.

If this sounds like you, that place is Agnes Scott.

Join us for Great Scott, our Fall Open House, on Saturday, October 17, for your chance to experience Agnes Scott for yourself, ask questions, meet the people who make this community what it is and start imagining your place here.

"Attending Great Scott gave me the opportunity to meet and engage with current Agnes Scott students and professors. Listening to their experiences and memories here at Agnes encouraged me to continue my journey at Agnes Scott College", said Yvonne T. '29. "What stood out to me the most was seeing genuine connections and friendships between Scotties in real time. I was also inspired by hearing professors talk about their desire to truly know their students academically and personally. Experiencing that strong sense of community and feeling that students are genuinely seen and valued confirmed for me that Agnes Scott was the right place for me."

High school seniors who visit campus are eligible for the Agnes Scott Campus Visit Award if they apply and are admitted as first-year students for Fall 2027—$2,000 per year. Come and experience the Agnes Advantage for yourself! We can’t wait to welcome you! Register at the link in our bio. by @agnesscottcollege

A surprise on stage at the 7th Annual Women’s Global Leadership Conference: the Delta Air Lines Foundation has committed $1 million to Global Journeys, the program that sends every Agnes Scott first-year student on a faculty-led trip at no additional cost.

That brings the Foundation’s investment in Summit to $2 million.

Thank you, @delta and Gail Grimmett of @deltaflightmuseum, for believing in Scotties. #WGLC2026 by @agnesscottcollege

Returning to Kenya as a Hubert Scholar meant more than coming home for Leocadia W. ’27 (she/they). They were giving back to a community that has always been a part of them.

As a queer person who grew up in Nairobi, Leocadia has long wanted to support Kenya’s LGBTQ+ community. This summer, she returned to Nairobi as a Hubert Scholar, completing an 11-week internship with Queerhive Kenya, a queer feminist nonprofit focused on the health, well-being, safety and security of lesbian, bisexual and queer women and gender-nonconforming individuals.

During her time with Queerhive Kenya, Leocadia helped organize advocacy and wellness events, collaborated with activists and community organizations and supported individuals navigating emergency situations. She also helped organize an embodied healing workshop for queer survivors of human trafficking.

One of the most meaningful parts of the experience was seeing the tangible impact of creating intentional, safe spaces where people can be themselves without fear of discrimination.

The experience also deepened her understanding of what it means to create change at the grassroots level.

“I definitely feel strongly that it is part of my purpose to go back and serve this community again,” they said.

Their time at Agnes Scott, including their studies in Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, has helped prepare them for the experience, while the Hubert Scholarship allowed them to put those values into action.

As we celebrate Atlanta Pride Month, we’re proud to highlight a Scottie whose commitment to community extends across borders and whose experience in Kenya will continue to shape how they approach change-making, service and their future. by @agnesscottcollege

POV: Your psychology department tells you to stop studying and go play with toys.

That’s exactly what happens at Agnes Scott’s annual Regression Party, a tradition that has brought psychology, neuroscience and counseling students together since 2004.

The concept is rooted in the psychological idea of regression: returning to behaviors or patterns from an earlier stage of life as a way of coping with stress. So naturally, we bring out the toys.

Students play, earn raffle tickets and compete for fun prizes with fellow Scotties.

The tradition was created to honor Dr. Ayşe Carden ‘66, a beloved psychology professor, mentor and advocate for community who taught at Agnes Scott for 25 years. taken in Agnes Scott College by @agnesscottcollege

Did you know? At Agnes Scott, you have more than an advisor- you have an entire team.

Your advising team includes an academic advisor, a peer advisor, a major advisor and a career coach. Together, they help connect your individual goals to the many possibilities available on campus, in the Atlanta area and beyond.

"The academic advising department has not only helped me navigate my journey on an academic level, but on a personal level as well," said Paige W. '27.

That personalized support is part of what makes the Scottie first-year experience stand out. For the second consecutive year, Agnes Scott is ranked no. 2 in the nation for First-Year Experiences by US News & World Report. by @agnesscottcollege
