Building systems that turn content into capital
POSTS STORIES REELS
Hi I’m K, I enjoy helping local businesses and local content creators do better business together because corporations are swallowing up our communities and I take that personally. 😊❤️ by @agnt.k_
The other day a client told me that she grappled with the thought of making content intentionally to build a personal brand versus posting her life just for the fun of it. She’s in the PR industry and fully understands the benefits but still feels burnt out just by the thought of what it entails to be intentional about it. Over the last 6 years I’ve had people say they just don’t want to be self-promoting and how it makes them feel uncomfortable. I totally understand, because often I just want to say my views, engage in conversations that are only of my personal interest without consideration for how anyone else may see me or take it. Not caring about how others see you however doesn’t mean you’re being authentic, it means you don’t care. Yet many of us have had that cringe moment where we don’t want to put something out or we censor ourselves to maintain an image of ourselves that we made up. I see content marketing as a way for creatives on mass to build equity they can actually own for life and pass down. That aligns with my values for financial freedom, ownership, and community. I see it as an opportunity for us to take ownership of the businesses we patron, highlight and support. The independent route is more tedious but the pay off is one we can call our own. Today no matter how much you “avoid” it people want to SEE what you do, not just hear you talk about it and they will absolutely search for the evidence. Soon as I know your name I’m googling. You are in charge of what image shows up, that is your credibility. by @agnt.k_
