472 miles of riding and 18,642 feet of climbing for the kids 💛🎗️

I am so thankful for this incredible group of people I had the pleasure to ride with. Their dedication, determination and grit is incredible. We shared stories, tears (good and bad), a lot of Culvers meals, and a heck of a lot of miles together.

Saturday we were welcomed home to St. Charles by friends, family, and @calsangels recipients and families. We had the honor of being led into town by Michael, who at just the age of 12, has already had 5 relapses of HR Neuroblastoma.

Over the course of the 5 days, we heard from families, survivors, siblings, parents, and children themselves sharing the real and raw stories of their journey. These kids are incredibly tough and they deserve so much more than the treatment that is out there.

We rode every mile for these kids, and while our ride may be over, the fight for more research for pediatric cancer is far from it. For the ones that survived and made it through, they were given a second chance at life. But for the ones no longer with us, we’ll continue to share their story and advocate for a future with better treatments, better research, and fewer goodbyes.

Please consider donating at the link in my bio. 100% of donations go directly toward pediatric cancer research 💛🎗️🪽

And a huge thank you to everyone who has followed along, donated, and prayed over us this past week 🫶🏼 by @agodipg

CUREage Ride Day Three Update 🎗️

Today our riders took on 50 miles, with over 3,500ft of elevation, appropriately named our “climbing for the kids” day.

We kicked off the morning with a FaceTime call with Ashley, whose son, Jax, was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. On top of that, during his diagnosis, Ashley lost her husband to brain cancer. Her story and strength has inspired us, and while Jax is doing better, we’re praying that he’ll be ringing the bell here in the next few months.

We began the ride with a quick pit stop at @culvers headquarters before setting out for a brutal day of climbing. We are continuously inspired by the fight and resilience these kids have throughout their battle. Our legs may hurt, and energy may be low, but it’s nothing compared to what these kids have to face.

Our night ended with a fantastic recovery session from @hydralivemadisonwi before getting to FaceTime with Lexie and her mother. Lexie was the first success story and patient pioneer of the @calsangels Advanced Leukemia Clinical and Research Program at @luriechildrens

Tomorrow they face another 100+ mile day with even more climbing.

Team AGO has had some impressive feats! We’ve conquered 70.3 Michigan and are halfway through the CUREage ride with @teamcalsangels. Today we climbed Blue Mountain State Park in Wisconsin not once, but twice. As we hear the heroic stories of kids battling cancer, we are reminded how blessed we are. We still need your support to reach our fundraising goal! Even a dollar or two helps at bit.ly/TeamAGO. by @agodipg

CUREage Ride Day One Update🎗️

Today we rode for Cal, Ava, Madi and Connor. We rolled out from @luriechildrens in Chicago, IL this morning, rode up the lakefront, had lunch with Connor and his family. He got to show off his ATV and escort us back on our way. We finished our 101 mile ride today in East Troy, WI.

Each day, we’re riding for the kids. Each day, we’re raising money to help fund research. And with only 4% of federal funding allocated to pediatric cancer research, we hope YOU will join US in being the missing 96%.

Our kids deserve more 💛🎗️

This September, @teamcalsangels is hitting the road for the 7th annual CUREage ride in an effort to bring hope to the families and children battling cancer.

This year, Team AGO is riding in memory of Ava Georgia Olson; a spunky, charismatic little girl who lost her battle with DIPG at just 9 years old. She was a daughter, a sister, a cousin and a friend.

We ride and we fundraise because children like Ava deserve more than 4% of federal cancer funding.

If you’re able to help join the fight, please consider donating at the link in our bio 🎗️

ITS DIPG AWARENESS DAY! Today is a day to simply help spread awareness as you can. You can share facts with friends and family to show them the fight we are up against. Here are a few: DIPG is extremely rare until it affects you, your family, or your friends those diagnosed DIPG have less than a 1% chance of surviving, along with a 10% chance of surviving longer than 2 years from diagnosis, brain tumors including DIPG is the leading cause in death of children, experts say that if they were to cure DIPG they would be able to cure all other pediatric brain cancer. Ava Olson fought against DIPG as hard as she could. She was a warrior. Now let’s carry on the fight and make her smile in heaven. Have a blessed day everyone.#defeatdipg #avawarriors #defeatcancer #grey #gold by @agodipg

Three years ago today, we lost Ava Georgia Olson to heaven. She is sassy, beautiful, and caring. She was first diagnosed with DIPG in November of 2016. At that time Chicago was steaming with joy over the Cubs World Series Win. The Olson Family partook in those celebrations a couple hundred feet in the sky. The Olson family was praying for a miracle as Ava was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). DIPG has and still has a survival rate less than 1% for 2 years after diagnoses. Ava brought a community together in prayer. In the coming months she would experience a 5k for her honor, the Orange Bowl in Miami, the VIP experience of the Winter Classic in Saint Louis, a Make-A-Wish trip to Hawaii, and a constant prayer from her community. After all of this on May 13, 2017 Ava Georgia Olson passed away surrounded by who she loved most. We didn’t get the miracle we thought we were gonna get. We did get one, knowing the warrior Ava Olson. taken in Heaven by @agodipg
