Celebrating 1 year of Life✨ with a rare brain disease

This time last year I was diagnosed with Anti NMDA Receptor encephalitis. NMDA Receptor Encephalitis is an autoimmune disease with a wide range of neurological and psychiatric symptoms. I lost 3 months of living to hospitals, seizures, comas, cardiac arrest, and an insane amount of testing. I had to relearn to walk, talk, read, write, eat, drink all over again, the most simple things.

I am celebrating a year of overcoming, improving and lots of accomplishments.
I’m grateful to all of those who stayed by my side and never gave up on me🩵
