My phone just told me this was five years ago.

Sometimes I deeply miss the job. There is something very pure about it, insofar that all you really do is help other people. There's essentially zero moral gray area- someone calls, you go and you do what you can to make things better. Oftentimes, as we would say, it would be showing up on the worst (or last) day of someone's life.

I am left with hundreds of memories of some really awful things, and I'll live with that forever, but I wouldn't trade that for anything because of all the good we did. It's a price you have to accept, but there is ultimately a comfort in knowing that every day we made a difference, some small, some big.

Anyway, this is the subject of my latest @agonalgasps track "Faded Memories". Sometimes you have to make friends with ghosts, even the scary ones.

"Faded Memories" is a song about drowning in visceral memories of the past. It's about ghosts and the relentless reminder that even though memories fade with time, they do not lose their ability to cut in deep.

@dunnhog did an amazing job with the artwork once again. He so often is able to perfectly capture the feelings evoked from my music. by @agonalgasps

Thanks so much to everyone who came to our two shows at @dragoncon

It felt very appropriate to have the first show ever at such an amazing place that I love dearly. Thanks to all the techops and sound engineering people who did an amazing job as well!

Working on booking shows now! Keep an eye out for announcements soon 🙌

Tomorrow night is the first ever @agonalgasps show and I am beyond excited, to say the least.

It's going to be a bit of a different experience than Vision Video shows of the past. I'm channeling a different energy these days, which mostly feels like rage and indignation.

I'm harnessing the same energy I used to muster when I was a firefighter getting ready to go into a working fire, or when I was a soldier prepping for partols in Afghanistan. I need to get this energy out of me because it does no good within me. And honestly I invite you to do the same: let out your frustration and rage by dancing together and being present in the moment with us.

We're going to play a selection of my favorite VV songs though, so it will still have some familiarity.

I am so excited to see you tomorrow.

A little explanation (and the proper pronunciation) of @agonalgasps

This term stuck out as a really stark, bleak when studying for my paramedic firefighter certification.

Hey everyone! It's ALMOST TIME!!!
The venn diagram of goths and nerds is a PERFECT CIRCLE, and no place makes it more obvious than @dragoncon !!

Will I be doing a Warhammer cosplay?
Yup!

Will I be giving out my own custom Con badge ribbons all weekend?
You betcha.

Will we be melting faces with goth rock?
YOU ALREADY KNOW IT!

See you soon, spooky nerds!

Finally added the last of the 1 of 1 expired film prints to the @agonalgasps shop. I’ll be adding some of my own matted prints as well- that’s my payment for running the merch shop, I get to add my own bullshit.

We also have new enamel pins! Agonalgasps dot com.

Also come hang out in person at DragonCon! We’ll have a booth in the Marriott and there is a show Friday at 1230am (Thursday night!!) @ Hyatt Centennial II-IV and Saturday 10pm at the Hyatt Concourse. I’ll also be bringing trinkets for @oddpaws.rescue fundraising.

Plz feed your local starving artists/cat enthusiasts. Ty 🙏

A huge thanks to @musicalarcana for this awesome set of bleached photo prints she did in sequence.

Come see us perform at @dragoncon on Thursday night (technically Friday morning) at 12:30 am and Saturday at 10pm.
