🎬 Embodying the spirit of #consciousleadership

We invite you to explore our latest video from the “Retreat on Conscious Food Systems as a Pathway to Planetary Health”, where we delve into the essence of conscious leadership within the realm of food systems 🍉
In September 2024, ahead of #ClimateWeekNYC, our @undp convened Conscious Food Systems Alliance and the @garrisoninstitute gathered 70+ food leaders to align intentions, find inspiration, and share insights on how deep inner work can drive lasting, transformative change in food systems and planetary health.
Watch this video to discover how leaders can foster interconnectedness and resilience in our food communities. Thank you @knelleemb @ahameducation for the video 🌿 taken in New York City by @ahameducation

Join us for a virtual & in-person film screening 🎥🌱

Healing People Heal the Planet:
We are Mother Earth and Mother Earth is us. When we are disconnected from this relationship and out of balance with Nature, we tend to turn to polarized, fear-based, anxiety-driven action causing intentional and unintentional harm to ourselves, each other and our planet. This session features AHAM Education’s documentary short Healing People Heal the Planet and a mindful reflection of how we might access “eco-affinity” through eco-awareness. Together we explore how this compassionate ‘inter-being’ in relationship to humanity and the planet can serve as a catalyst for sustainable, nature-positive, nonviolent and transformative outcomes for a common future.

Festival participants are invited to experience the power of mindfulness, storytelling and connection with Nature in improving personal and planetary well-being, The two storylines in the film set the tone for unearthing eco-anxiety and other forms of solastalgia that many face in witnessing the climate crisis and serial natural disasters. On the one hand, stories of vulnerable communities most affected by climate change and social inequities who engage in healing practices in natural spaces in turn become guardians for nature and community. On the other, testimonials that reveal the climate justice activist dilemma - burnout and eco-grief - and how mindfulness in nature can play a role in building more resilient changemakers.

Attendees are reminded of their capacity for “eco-affinity” and “eco-agency” - the ability to love, connect, and transform their lives and the world around them. Participants are invited to share in a brave listening circle after the film, practice eco-awareness and renew their commitment to “mindful eco-actionism” in their communities. by @ahameducation
