🎣 Fished for brookies and cutthroat every second I could! Spent a camp day on the Popo Agie River and another day at Cliff Lake. Didn't have a net so those cutthroat popped off pretty good. "GIT THAT F@CK!N ROD TIP UP!!" If I had a quarter for how many times I heard that...I would've caught a lot more trout. 😆 But according to the legendary @dtsasser of @hightroutguides that gigantic, beautiful, "swamp donkey" brown trout I caught was a fish of a lifetime and I'll never forget that feeling. Shew! An unforgettable trip with @enatalieagn and @cc.boone that will be hard to beat!! ⛰️ Smoky Mountain adventure back in September! Every year, our buddy Bill reserves all the cabins at the tippy top of Mt. LeConte. 🏕️ Diamond 4 Ranch has an exclusive lease with the government for the campsite at Sanford Park in the Wind River Range. We set up our tents under the treeline, with the meadow and river below. @jessie.gottwald set us up with the greatest wranglers on our trip - Victoria, Linda, Lily, Sophie, Callie, and Kayla cooking for us. We were well taken care of, and I'm sure the wranglers had bear spray on them as well 🤪 The best part of camping was Grandma Mosey the Mule joining us at the campsite to try on wigs and eat biscuits. And the latrine...

🐴 Our trail horses worked hard navigating the steep, rocky terrain of the Wind River Range, traveling 5+ hours from the Diamond 4 Ranch to our campsite at Sanford Park. The wranglers had to pack out 6 horses and mules to carry all of our gear, beer and wine. 😆
I rode Luna, a beautiful and feisty black mare that preferred to be the leader. So she'd bite other horses if they tried to pass her 😂 We would bare back the horses to the river at dusk and listen to their bells throughout the night while we camped. 🤍 Those llamas weren't with us, but they were hilarious. Apparently the horses are super freaked out by llamas so we had to ask them to get off the trail 😂 @allensdiamond4ranch by @ahampster

Dear Diary: Take Me Back to Old Wyoming. 🐴 🏔️ Allen's Diamond 4 Ranch in the Wind River Mountain Range of Wyoming. Jim and Mary Allen have been operating the ranch and wilderness outfitter since 1973, just like Jim's grandfather did in the 1920's. Now, their youngest daughter Jessie runs the ranch and packs out trips on the ranch horses. I am grateful to have come back to this special place after packing out with my BFF Connie on a women's wilderness wellness trip 5 years ago. This time, with 10 other friends from sea level. We made it outta the group text, as they say! 😂

The boys unanimously turned down a trip to the movie theatre to go fishing on Sunday. Other than both boys landing beautiful redfish, the best part of the trip was Hank catching a stingray while trying to relieve himself 😂 by @ahampster
