It’s amazing how you can go from feeling like “fuck this shit” after just a day and while trying to do a little art therapy on yourself while sweating your ass off at your kids football practice to getting an early workout in the following day with @coach_washington_ @thedentrainingcl with friends and feeling like life isn’t so bad! LONG POST ALERT ‼️ Hi friends!

I have spent the last 7 years as a stay-at-home mom (while also building my little art business on the side ❤️) as most of you know and now with Miss Mae Mae starting kindergarten, I’m starting to think about what my next chapter looks like…

I have a background in recreation therapy, art therapy and counseling and have experience working with a large range of populations from dementia, to physical and mental disabilities, to hospitals settings in cancer counseling to grief counseling- it was demanding work but it was work that I truly loved because it centered around helping people, building relationships, creativity, and making a difference.

When I decided to stay at home full time it was what worked best for our family at the time and it eventually allowed me to do something I have always dreamed about which was starting my own little art business as well-

Now with both my kids in school full time- I’m looking for something flexible that works around their school schedules. I’m open to part-time, hybrid, or flexible opportunities- something in the community or in creative/design work- where I can use my background in art, recreation therapy, and counseling ideally. I’m even open to trying something totally new if the hours are right I’m open to learning new skills if someone wants to take a chance on me:)!

If you know of a great organization, a school, a nonprofit, a community center, or local business that’s hiring—or if you think of someone I should connect with—I would be so grateful if you’d send them my way. My mind is open!
