My “why” for running this year’s Falmouth Road Race is this guy right here! Truly inspired by you, Joey, each and every day! Learning to spell is not easy due to his full body apraxia but watching it come together and seeing the potential ability to communicate this way is amazing. Here are 2 videos showing his progress!

I’m at 91% of my goal - every little bit helps and all funds received will go towards the Doug Flutie Jr Foundation for Autism 💙

Today, on Autism Awareness Day, we celebrate our Joey 💙

He is 7 years old and nonverbal, but that has never defined the depth of who he is.

He teaches us to slow down, to notice the small things, and to love in ways that don’t require words.

The world doesn’t always understand him—but we do. And we will always stand beside him, learning, advocating, and loving him exactly as he is.

And we see his future so clearly—he is already beginning to create his own voice through spelling to communicate. In his own time and in his own way, he is going to share his thoughts, his personality, and his brilliance with the world.
