Copycat 每當我睜開眼的時候，都會看到你。 有時你小小的，有時卻巨大無比；有時你跑得比我還快，有時卻緊緊跟在身後；有時候我以為終於擺脫了你，轉過身，卻發現你依然在身旁⋯⋯ 《Copycat》的靈感，來自於我去年底從地下室撿回來的第二隻貓咪兩兩。因為是小朋友的年紀，一回來就好喜歡跟著原住貓布達跑來跑去，因為顏色又剛好是黑色的，就好像他的影子一樣，即便布達並不喜歡。而這也讓我聯想到，影子也猶如我的焦慮一般，即便不喜歡，但他也依然持續的存在著。身為一個極度容易焦慮的人，我常在做決定時猶豫，在完成作品後自我懷疑，甚至在想法還沒開始前就感到忐忑不安，在開始之後卻又想著最糟糕的結局。即便我的那些幻想從來都沒有發生，但焦慮就像影子一樣，始終如影隨形。 它固然不是一種快樂的情緒，但若沒有這股力量的推進，很多事情我或許永遠不會開始、不會深入思考，也不會努力的去完成一些事情。如何去理解並接納這樣的自己，是我期望透過這本書傳遞出的。 即將在童里初登場 🐈‍⬛ @maisontempsreves Whenever I open my eyes, I see you. Sometimes you are tiny, yet sometimes you are enormous; sometimes you run faster than me, and sometimes you follow closely behind. Sometimes I think I have finally left you behind, but when I turn around, I find you still by my side... The inspiration for Copycat comes from my second cat, Liang-Liang, whom I brought home from a basement late last year. Being just a kitten, Liang-Liang loved running around after my older cat, Buddha. Since Liang-Liang happens to be black, it was as if Buddha had a little shadow following her—even though Buda wasn’t particularly fond of it. This made me realize that a shadow is very much like my own anxiety; even if I don‘t like it, it is always there. As a highly anxious person, I often hesitate when making decisions, doubt myself after finishing an artwork, and feel unsettled before an idea even begins. Once I do start, I catch myself imagining the worst possible outcomes. Even though those imagined disasters never actually happen, anxiety is just like a shadow, always following me everywhere. It is certainly not a joyful emotion, but without this invisible push, there are many things I might never have started, thought deeply about, or pushed myself to complete. Learning how to understand and embrace this part of myself is exactly what I hope to convey through this book. ⟡⟡⟡  #zine ⟡⟡⟡  ₊⊹ Good things always happen to me ⊹₊ 2nd Edition 第一版做完之後，總覺得還想再多做一點點什麼，趁著第二代改版的機會，做了還是很喜歡的精裝版。也找到了這本書的最最一開始，與去年做的狗狗t-shirt顏色相近的寶藍色布料作為封面。 這次改版除了裝幀上的改版，也新增了兩個跨頁，在油墨上也將星星改成了亮亮得金色。 封面的星星也有兩種顏色的版本，一種是金色一種是銅色。也許還會再做銀色的星星，但目前還來不及做到那邊 ꔛꔛꔛꔛ 我是一個很容易羨慕別人的人。
在看見別人閃閃發亮的時候，也常忍不住懷疑自己是不是不夠好。 但慢慢發現，其實也有很多溫柔又美好的事情，在自己的生活裡發生。只是有的時候，因為太用力看向別人的光、追尋不是屬於自己的目標，而忘記了自己身上所有好的事情。 “ Good Things Always happen to Me. ” 這本小誌，獻給因羨慕而感到焦慮的人。希望在感到不安的時候，能提供一點點安慰，也提醒——好事情，其實不斷在我們身邊發生著。 ⟡⟡⟡ ₊⊹ Good things always happen to me ⊹₊ 2nd Edition After finishing the first edition, I felt there was still something missing. So, with this second edition, I poured my heart into creating a hardcover version that I truly love. I even found a royal blue fabric for the cover—the exact shade that traces back to the very beginning: the dog T-shirt I made last year. Beyond the new binding, this update includes two new double-page spreads. I’ve also upgraded the stars to a gold ink. For the cover, the stars now come in two versions: gold and copper. I’m thinking about a silver version too, though it’s still a work in progress! ꔛꔛꔛꔛ I’m someone who easily envies others. When I see people shining so brightly, I often can’t help but wonder if I’m not good enough. But slowly, I’ve come to realize that there are also many gentle and beautiful things happening in my own life. Sometimes, by focusing too hard on other people’s light and chasing goals that aren’t truly mine, I forget all the good things I already carry within myself. “ Good Things Always happen to Me. ” This zine is dedicated to those who feel anxious because of envy.
