Two days after my dads funeral a bird flew into our window and left this mark

My dad Ioved birds, particulary birds of prey. He used to go bird watching when he was younger and Kes was his favourite film

This silhouette looks similar to a peregrine falcon which my dad would often point out as they flew close to the motorway on drives from Edinburgh to London

I’ve always been hopeful but never truly convinced of an eternal soul. Now I’m sure

This was a message from my dad

He came back here to let his grandson know he’s watching over him by @ahendyround2

Im very lucky I got to call you dad. The most decent man I’ve ever known. Greatest album collection I’ve ever seen. Worked so hard. Helped so many people. Happiest in nature or playing tunes. Underworld, Gil Scott Heron, Nick Cave and Bowie. You taught me so much. The character traits I value in myself come from you. I look at my son and I feel you. Sometimes I look at him and for a split second I am you, looking at a 3 month old me. You are here with us always.
