🎧🎹🐙Now you can hear ME narrate my sci-fi story “The Piano Player Has Eight Arms” in the magazine of creative writing on environmental justice @reckoningmag on their FREE podcast 📻❗️It’s just a few minutes long and features a retrofuturistic restaurant under the sea, a clever octopus, & murderous synthwave music! 🪸🌊🍽️ Listen or read at: reckoning.press or see the links in my bio…

🌵🛸 Another persona resurrected, Vibra Steel of post-punk sci-fi concept band @cvtheband (plus jump-scare getting ready pic 😱). We played our first show since 2024 on Saturday, opening for Philly punk band @wereeraser ❗️ Humboldt folks who missed us, our next rare appearance is at @shantyeureka on Saturday, 10/24 - wear a costume for that one, details coming soon. And my OTHER obnoxious persona DJ PerilNormal👽 will be opening Indie Sleaze Night on Saturday 11/7 at @richardsgoat ✨ Hope to see some of you soon…

🪷Water Hyacinth superbloom in our tiny pond. This is the first year they’ve bloomed at all. Now I just need to import some hippos to keep them under control.🦛 The raccoons eat some, but they preferred the water lettuce, which they completely eradicated.🦝🦝🦝 Cameo from Bundle the cat 🐈

👋🎹👽 It’s true. We’re BACK after a 2-year hiatus, we’ve added two more members to our lineup including live drums, lap steel guitar, and some no-wave inspired sax, and we’re excited to be opening for Philadelphia punk / no wave band ERASER on Saturday, 9/26 - you can check them out at @wereeraser ‼️

🥁🎸Philadelphia’s No-Wavers ERASER erupted onto the East Coast punk scene with a unique sound informed by legendary bands like The Slits, Malaria, and Liquid Liquid. They recently contributed a single on the comp No Occupation and released their debut EP Hideout with art rock stalwarts 💿 Siltbreeze Records.

And of course, we (CV) play dystopian post-punk to make you feel UNSETTLED. We’ll have some NEW original songs, maybe a cover, plus an old favorite or two.👀
