I don’t go to shows. I do that every day for my job. But a couple of friends insisted that I shouldn’t miss @wellesmusic…and holy shit. That was special. Garden 2026. Pics 1&2: If you wanna know how prolific the cosmos seeds are that I got from @thegreenhouseomaha, here’s your proof. This is their second year—I harvested the seeds last year and scattered them, along with zinnias, marigolds, and some random native wildflower seeds in a 3rd of my garden that I don’t want to deal with. Cosmos won the race. Truly the gift that keeps on giving. Pollinator heaven.
Pic 3: My tomatoes are popping, despite absolute neglect. These are an heirloom variety I picked up at @ciriansfarmersmarket. They’re delicious. My other tomato plant has yet to put on any fruit. A late bloomer, perhaps? Or a dud? Time will tell.
Pic 4: This is my garden. It’s a complete mess. Not a failure, but a mess. I have volunteer holy basil, Thai basil, cilantro that’s already bolted, thyme, rosemary, and a mint experiment that went very, very awry. Every time I weed I get overwhelmed and attacked by mosquitoes. Why do I do it? Good question. Gardeners know. by @aheps
