I am very excited to announce my verbal commitment to SUNY Canton to continue both my academic and basketball career! The second I stepped on campus, I knew this was where I belonged. The combination of strong academics, competitive athletics, and the welcoming community made this decision an easy one. A huge thank you to Coach Klassen for believing in me and supporting me throughout this process. Your confidence in me means so much, and I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported me throughout my recruiting journey. To my high school coaches, AAU coaches, teammates, teachers, friends, and especially my family thank you for believing in me every step of the way. A special thank you to the Albany Herricanes for helping me grow as both a player and a person and for providing me with so many opportunities over the years. I truly couldn’t have done this without all of your love, guidance, and support. I’m so excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to be a Roo! 💙🦘 @cklassen25 @coach_katie_k @suny_canton_wbb @aherricanes @unategogirls.basketball by @aherricanes

We are excited to welcome Coach Jennifer Cohen back as Head Coach of our 2034 Herricanes after an amazing first season making 2 championships! 🌀⭐️

A Kodak All-American Honorable Mention, three-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection, and Le Moyne College Athletics Hall of Fame inductee, Coach Jen brings an accomplished collegiate playing and coaching background to the program. 🏀

During her career at Le Moyne College, Coach Jen established herself as one of the program’s most accomplished players, recording 1,583 career points, 691 rebounds, 232 assists, and 194 steals. She became the first player in school history to earn Northeast-10 Conference First Team honors and helped lead the Dolphins to their first Northeast-10 Conference Championship game and NCAA Tournament appearance. ⭐️⛹🏻‍♀️

Following her playing career, Coach Jen spent two seasons coaching at Le Moyne College. Over the past 20 years, she has also coached girls’ basketball at various levels, most recently focusing on third and fourth-grade athletes over the past three years. 🌀

Today we are excited to spotlight Coach Bobby Howk and his Class of 2030 squad! 🌀⭐️ @nletoldu

Coach Bobby brings over 20 years of coaching experience across multiple sports, including softball, baseball, and semi-professional football. His experience ranges from coaching 4-year-old athletes to 23U softball, along with five years of basketball coaching, including the past year and a half with our program! 🌀
Coach Bobby’s philosophy is simple: be a teacher at practice and a coach at games. He believes in teaching the why behind the game, helping players develop their fundamentals, basketball IQ, and decision-making skills. 🎓
For Coach Bobby, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing the light bulb turn on when a player truly understands a concept and applies it on their own. ⭐️
He believes you’re not just teaching players how to play basketball—you’re teaching them how to think, understand, and become independent decision-makers. 💯
His goal is to help every player reach and exceed their individual potential, both on and off the court. 🩵

Coach Bobby’s 2030 squad spent a large portion of last season playing up an age level even taking on multiple High School JV teams in the summer league. This team won 72% of their games when playing at their own age level including multiple championships across the NorthEast! 🏆

Coach Bobby’s squad was no stranger to buzzer-beaters and close games finishing 7-1 in 1 possession games including winning 5 straight along with being 2-0 in overtime/sudden death games! 🔥🏀 SWIPE FOR BUZZER BEATERS! 🎯

Can YOU be the one who takes Coach Bobby’s squad to the next level this year? 🤩
Come show out on 10/24 at St. Rose and 11/1 at Albany Academy!

Today we spotlight a PLAYER FAVORITE and program OG! 🌀🤩

Coach Kim McCoy 🩵🏀

For those that have been lucky enough to have been around Coach Kim know there is no greater motivator of young female athletes then Coach Kim!! ⛹🏻‍♀️
Coach Kim has been teaching the game and building confidence for over 15 years at the CYO, CDGYL, and AAU levels including all 10 years of the Herricanes with an incredible passion for athlete development both physically and mentally! 🌀
She doesn’t just teach fundamental basketball; she uses the game to empower girls to tune out the noise, stand up for themselves, and build unshakeable self-belief. 💪🏼
We are so grateful for the way she turns competitive stress into lifelong confidence and social-emotional strength!

Coach Kim has been instrumental in our development program as she Coaches our most important age groups on and off the court at the 3rd and 4th grade age level. 🏀
