I *probably* should have posted this over a month ago but we know how my brain has been working lately!

I am a member of @karamzone_writes Street Team! I am still figuring out what it means to be on a street team, but Kara is such a fantastic person to learn alongside. I am so thankful to be a part of her team!

As always, keep an eye out for the upcoming books in the Trium Perfectum world!

An Accidental Faerie Tale is out now.
Only Embers Remain will release in June!

I got to arc read Volik and this is like... the only one I got done on time in months. I'm TRYING. anyways GUYS this book is SO GOOD. I'm telling you, if you like vampires, if you like loverboys that start off grumpy and stompy but then will do ANYTHING for his mate, this is ths book for you I SWEAR IT. I love Volik. This big man messed me up for days I tell you!

This was my first S.J. Tilly book, and it really wowed me. Thank you to the Smuthood for the chance to read Volik and tell you guys about it! I hope I can continue this series because I am HOOKED(by the horns, sorry 😉)

*Normally I take notes when I read because my brain is kind of messy due to my disabilities, but ive been too overwhelmed lately. So my last two or three reviews have been super short and simple. I love the books. When I feel better, you'll see more, but I do promise this is maximum effort right now.*

It's been a hard...year? But Mister Hoagie is on it with a fresh batch of biscuits for us all! Unfortunately, he is a small batch baker, so he takes longer than the other guys.. he gets paid in butt pats because he doesn't like kisses very much 🥰 @thedoctorkoala.vp by @ahhhhhcats

May has been a REALLY bad month. I have almost volunteered for two separate grippy sock vacays. I got denied for disability(I have had a lawyer the entire time y'all, but theyre USELESS I swear). I'm desperately trying to get into a php at my therapist's office but medicaid hates patients(I won't argue this). We lost a beautiful person this past week. I am STRUGGLING.

I have gotten book mail twice this month and both times have been super duper sweet. This is one of them, from @entangled_publishing ❤️

As a disabled fat woman, I am excited for a book about loving yourself through the fatphobia, queerphobia, and other discrimination. The character(s?) deal with eating disorders and grief and overall this is a book for me. I don't know which of the women at Entangled was looking out for me, but I'm glad they were. by @ahhhhhcats

I'm finishing up Painted Sins by @caitlynskyauthor and it has been a blast to read!! It comes out April 23 and my dark romance girlies are gonna LOVE it 😍

Katar is quite possibly my new favorite book boyfriend. The guy just gets it. And I just love these two baby goths 😭 I know its probably my trauma but they both just get me? Also, Harper does so much work on herself in this book, I am so proud of this imaginary woman! She goes from a very tightly wound assassin to a woman who can let someone hold her hand without flinching, and that doesn't seem like much, but it is

If you need a good, medium hearted dark romcom to read, this is for you! It has kept me occupied for like 3 days when normally I burn right through a book. There's murder, there's sex, and so much chaos from our beloved murder husband. 😍 Thank you SO much, Caitlyn, for the chance to be on your arc team!

A couple of little reviews for a Monday afternoon! These were both arcs that I received, but they are both out in the world at this time 😳😋 I loved both of these!

Out of this World by Ari Wright has been on my mind for the last several weeks and I have been shouting it out wherever I can. It is a super cute sci-fi romance with a new take on omegaverse style. Sofi goes out with her best friends and ends up abducted and traded to the Alphas on Khanos. Zolkan is King, Rask the warrior, and Cylus the Healer. (Rask is my favorite). These men are all some variety of huge, scaled, furry, tailed, winged and double peened. And they all fall in love with Sofi one by one. This book is a little long, but absolutely worth every second and if you like aliens and romance, I highly recommend!

Fink is a killer contract clown who runs into someone a little bit too similar to him on the job, and he can't stop thinking about her. Unfortunately, his job requires minimal liabilities, and Sydney is the biggest liability he has ever met. Now they've killed together and are in hiding. Together. Sydney is unhinged and cute as can be. What lengths is Fink ready to go to to protect her? This is a dark rom-com that has obvious toxic elements but is, in my opinion great for someone just getting into dark romance. The themes lie more into the internal problems that the characters face verses a lot of common dark romance tropes(apart from murder, lol). I would also recommend this highly!

Both books feature trauma tropes and as always, it is important to check triggers before starting anything you may be unsure of. Interestingly enough, both fmcs have a foster care history and abandonment trauma. In both stories, every single main character just needs some love, and I think we can all resonate with that.

As I mentioned, both were arcs, so thank you to @ari.wrights.romance

This was an absolute blast to read! At about 100 pages, you can read it in no time at all, and I am begging you to read this novella! A F*ckery of Songs and Shadows is fantasy, but not exactly what one thinks of when they imagine the genre. It is chaos of the best kind, a very friendly dragon who loves butter and music, a grumpy, GRUMPY bounty hunter who does not ever want to see her situationship- thing again, and that situationship- thing who has shown up to party. Or not.

Benny and Rhena have a job to do at Courtchella, and Benny is excited about the band. Rhena just wants to get home(who wouldn't? Sweaty, drunken maidens and heathens everywhere? The worst!) but then a very familiar and very sober-appearing woman is in danger.. Rosanna, the situationship. Also a bounty hunter and dragon rider. The team have a mission to complete, and there are plenty of distractions.

I absolutely loved this story so much! I saw another arc reader refer to Rhema and Benny's relationship as Shrek and Donkey style and I agree one thousand percent. @ajbraunauthor is so clever, and the banter is top notch. Oh, and if you like d*cks, they're like, everywhere. The walls, the bats.. just read it!

Could this be my first unboxing video! I won a super cute gift box (@smutslutbox ) from @thedirtychapters !
There is no audio because I have no clue what I am doing when it comes to content creation, but my husband DID film the video for me 🥰

I also did NOT show ya'll the not so tiny silver bullet included but I WILL tell you it is specific to this box because the main character in the book included uses silver bullets to hunt the werewolves. More importantly, she crafts them herself?! We love a do it yourself babe! (The included book for February's SmutSlutBox is Goddess's Trace by Margareta Strööm)

Give Edith a follow if you love adult romances. She is funny and sweet, and I adore this woman! 😘

Happy monday babes!

I am SO late as an arc reader in posting my review, so right off the bat, I want to publicly apology to Kara M Zone for dropping the ball. She has been awesome to work with so far and look forward to her future books!

I absolutely loved An Accidental Faerie Tale! @karamzone_writes 's writing is fabulous, and I really appreciate that she takes the time to research the mental health tropes she is writing about. There is a page with resources at the front for anyone struggling with things like depression, cptsd or SA. Max, one of our mmcs, struggles with childhood trauma, as many of us do. Please seek professional help if you need it.

Our story begins with Max's childhood. We learn about his family's magic, and where some of his trauma stems from. We learn a bit about his Mother. We don't want to meet Mother. Fast forward to the present tense, and Max is in college, and is basically alone. He has Finn, and all of a sudden the Trium Perfectum pulling at his magic, a magical mate of sorts.

But Max isn't interested, and he makes that perfectly clear. Until he has no choice in the matter. The story continues with Aiden, Finn's twin brother, Nicholas(who I don't trust from the start) and a few minor names that pop up. Max and Aiden have HEAT but they absolutely can't stand each other at first... and then bam! Or should I say bang? ;)

Kara writes a HOT story, I'm surprised Aiden didn't burn something down with his fire magic! The stakes only grow with the sexual tension here, and we learn about a fae land that will hopefully be in later books. I am sure you will love this Prequel, as well as the rest of the series out later this year.
