Life has looked like a lot of things for me lately. Surgeries, infusions, lots of E.R. Trips, hundreds of doctor’s appointments, weeks on end being bed ridden, specialist, so much testing, new diagnosis’. It’s felt extremely over whelming and hard, but it has also looked like road trips, girl hangs, nature walks, giggling, family time, creek time and so many other beautiful things. I’ve learned that you can feel sad about things, but also extremely grateful at the same time, and that’s okay, even when life doesn’t exactly look like how you’d hoped. Every day I am thankful for my incredible family and the friends who have showed up in these hard times over the last 6 years. My mom comes to almost every single specialist, surgery or test. My dad has been working day and night to get our fairy land of a property ready for our wedding, Chris makes me every single meal and brings me anything I need when I am having bad days. Life is incredible and can sometimes be very hard but I am so thankful for my life and the beauty I get to experience every day. Thanks for reading my sappy thoughts on life atm, but every damn day is truly special. by @ahnauna

Another Forest day🫶🏽 a day that comes with a lot of sadness has also become so beautiful over the years. Year after year you guys keep showing up, I know I’ve said it before, but I can’t tell you guys how much it means to me. I love each of you so so big. On a day that could feel so lonely actually makes my heart so full, with some tears there is also so many smiles and hugs and laughter. Little life update:
I know I haven’t shared much over the last year since I had a surgery that removed a tumor and the removal of my adrenal gland after the diagnosis of cushings. Surgery was successful but the recovery from has been taking a little longer than expected. My pituitary and my other adrenal completely shut down after surgery resulting with my levels being zero. Because of this, your body can’t function/live without life sustaining medication. I definitely had ups and lots of downs while also trying to navigate my other health issues and many days where I felt like complete shit, many days in bed, and literally hundreds of doctor’s appointments and testings. I still have been so proud of my body for doing its thing! Unfortunately my levels still weren’t going up, they started preparing me for the worst and a lifetime of medications and issues, but a couple months ago, about a year after surgery I finally started making progress while surprising all my doctors, and a couple days ago I received some very positive news with my health journey, I FINALLY am able to stop taking my daily medication that has been literally keeping me alive! The end of the road isn’t here quite yet, and I still will have to keep medication near by for any time my body is under stress, and we are working on all the other health issues I have, but we have made so much progress and I am so proud of my body! I wasn’t going to share, but decided to in hopes that if you yourself are dealing with any health related thing no matter how big or how small, I am here for you, and I mean that. Even if we don’t know each other well. This has been one of the loneliest times of my life, while it is understandably hard to relate to someone dealing health issues. I hope that if that is you, you will reach out to me, even if it’s just for a good cry, acknowledgment of how hard it can be, or just to say, what the fuck?! Sometimes that’s all you need. Sending love to those of you who are dealing with health issues, you WILL be on the other side of this🫶🏽 by @ahnauna
