The same goes for the other characters, because Flynn Rider, Mother Gothel and the rest of the cast have recognizable personalities and visual traits that helped make the original movie so memorable. Of course, live-action adaptations don’t have to copy an animated character frame-for-frame, and actors should absolutely be allowed to bring their own interpretations to the roles, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t feel like something is missing when the resemblance isn’t there. Arthur Weasley took an ordinary Ford Anglia and magically modified it with abilities that would make even the most expensive modern vehicles look outdated. While the family struggled to afford new school supplies, robes, and other basic necessities, they had a vehicle capable of doing things that technology still hasn’t achieved on a commercial scale. The funniest part is that Arthur wasn’t even trying to create some revolutionary luxury vehicle; he was simply fascinated by Muggle inventions and decided to experiment with one himself. Of course, the car wasn’t actually worth Tesla money in the wizarding world, especially since its magical modifications were illegal, but looking back at the movies makes the entire situation hilarious.
