Choosing Handstands is choosing the long way…

Sharing an average Set from exactly one year ago and from yesterday 🤝

Handstand progress is best measurable not only in your best attempts, but in what happens in those Sessions on a friday evening where you almost didn’t start.

Happy to say that I am no where near the end of this 🫶

Lets see whats possible! 🦄

Feeling the rhythm upside down 🤸

Enjoying the golden autumn at this year's favourite spot.

Little Ring Muscle Up Rep PR on little food and less sleep.
After one week of only Handstands - felt especially nice. Maybe with chalk another one would work - or I just take weight again :)

Thanks for this @handstand_extravaganza

Little stage moment
at one of the last summer evening trainings at our absolute favorite Training Spot 🌅

Actually every sunset here is a perfect in its own way and this time we made one synchro Set together - right after finishing the actual work.
(3x120 sec for Theresa, how is she still standing??)

Very very sad summer training time is about to end.
But winter time means serious gains so it’s okay I guess?

And handbalancers - do they even need to talk to other humans? I mean we are staring at the floor as a hobby.

I am going to get another week of summer in Sicily now and maybe - if we are lucky - we get another one or two golden autumn sessions here 🍂

Doing one arms together 😍
After the weekend hike we went straight to the park to train together because this is so much fun!

4/5 coaches from @annalanah handstand coaching

Video by @domi_brs 😍

And for the record: Cara had some really good OAH holds in the other videos but this was the best one overall.

Major achievement -

first 5sec of balance on one arm 🔥

(4.89sec to be clear, but @lenaleninski and @lukasflint said it counts because of the good setup and real rebalances )

It is obviously an arbitrary timepoint but i think it is fun to give it a date and proper celebration 🥳😂

Took about as much time and effort as my master of science in molecular biology 🤓😅
(~20 months and having a good 2 arm foundation that was developed in the years before)

#handstand #takestime #thankyou #motivation #bereal

Obviously huge thanks to the people that are even deeper in this passion and helped me on the way.

Special mention to 🤝
@annalanah for adjusting my basics, being my for-ever inspiration and showing me whats possible

@pepo.hbl for developing my Fingertip Setup and giving me clear pathway on how to build the strength and endurance needed

@mikaelbalancing for teaching me how be delicate and subtle - and reassuring i was on a good path until i believed it myself

On my way to taking this to the next level! by @ahorncaramel

There’s something deeply magical about balancing on one hand, even in these few seconds.

I truly enjoy the practice, the sensations, and the process itself.
Proud of these mini balances and of how this journey is unfolding.
