👽 AHUBO HAS LANDED

So honored to be featured in Southwest Contemporary @swcontemporary ALIEN issue

A year ago, we created Ahubo the alien as a last-minute character for a Halloween shoot. What started as a little experiment with some of my favorite creatives @jennyyyjenn and @lakshmi_mua has grown into an entire universe.

There’s something really beautiful about making art with people willing to play, experiment, and get weird.

🌵 Rooted in resilience, protection, and the healing power of the desert. My cactus display honors the medicine of these remarkable plants and their deep connection to the land.

Come experience the art, culture, and community at the IndigenousAF Store Grand Opening on October 23rd! Join us in celebrating Indigenous artists and the stories that connect us to the Southwest.

📍 218 E. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas

Just three. We’re not giving the whole show away.

Save this post. Find them when you get here. Then tell us which one you spotted first.

And if you haven’t been to Woodward Contemporary yet, here’s what people who have been here have to say:

@glamtimelv told me I was glowing in this pic, and I agree ✨

Not because everything is perfect, but because I never imagined I’d get to this place, where I could express myself so freely after feeling silenced for so much of my life. Art gave me a voice when words couldn’t. It became a space where no one can tell me my feelings, my story, or my truth are wrong.

This glow is what freedom looks like ❤️✨🎨 #artistsofig by @ahubothealien
