She came to organize my house, and she made it a home.

I hired Nechama to organize my house because I had officially lost the battle against the chaos. She walked in, assessed the situation with zero judgment (or at least very well-hidden judgment), and somehow we went from “where should these bins go?” to “want to spend the rest of our lives together?” Organized Chaos!

I’m (34) born and raised in Chicago, Nechama (32) hailed from Passaic, but made Chicago her home.

Dating after divorce with kids is less “romcom” and more “two slightly exhausted adults trying to figure out if they can build something good while still remembering if the kids did homework last night.” There were real fears. Fears of repeating old patterns, of trusting again, of whether our kids would actually get along. It was messy and vulnerable and pretty funny in the “we’re really doing this” kind of way.

I wish I could tell my earlier self: it’s okay if it doesn’t look perfect. The right person won’t need the polished version of your life. They’ll sit with you in the middle of the chaos, laugh about it, and still choose to stay. Patience and persistence pays off.

If you’re dating again after divorce and it feels complicated and a little scary, you’re not doing it wrong. Sometimes the best things start in the middle of the mess, not after everything is already organized (does help to find a professional organizer to fall in love with though).

He had four kids. She had three. They wanted to get married in Jerusalem, with an intimate crowd of 40 people.

When they reached out and shared their story, I was so touched that I knew I had to make it happen.

It looks like an ordinary day at the farm. But for an event like this to come together, it takes hours and hours of meetings, vendor calls, site visits, and searching for exactly the right vendors.

All so that on the day, two families could simply become one. 🤍

Happy Birthday, Grandma! 93!

My inspiration and wise grandma, who was an event planner and caterer herself back in the day in NY!

Before any event, we speak. I share the details, ask her for advice, and we discuss what I will wear to the event. (She’s big on fashion and makeup!)
I try to speak or visit in person to show her content from the events.

Event planning runs in the blood and the genes. Kind of chic!

לפני כל אירוע אנחנו משוחחות על פרטי האירוע, אני מתייעצת איתה, וגם חושבות יחד מה אני אלבש. היא סופר קלאסית וממש מאוהבת באיפור.

בקיצור, לגמרי עובר בגנים התחום של הפקת אירועים.
