Yesterday was Judgment Day.

In the Terminator timeline, August 29, 1997 was the day Skynet became self-aware. A fictional date, but an increasingly uncomfortable warning.

The danger was never just that machines would become powerful. It was that humans would hand over too much control before fully understanding the consequences.
