Same basin geometry, two very different outcomes. Print it with a fixed outer wall and the overhang sags, the layers split and the wall opens up. Print it with an adaptive outer wall, one that changes bead thickness and print speed through the overhangs and the same shape holds as a single continuous surface.

The difference comes down to how Aibuild CAM handles the wall through the overhang. Extrusion width and feed rate are compensated against the local wall angle, so the bead stays consistent even as the print leans well past vertical. Before any of that, overhang analysis evaluates candidate print angles and highlights where failures are likely to occur, giving the engineer greater control over the print strategy and allowing potential failure regions to be addressed before going to the machine.

Some briefs start as a written paragraph. Others start as a sketch on paper.
A Process in Aibuild OS takes either. From a written brief it can return concept directions to compare. A hand sketch can come back as a render of that sketch, and a photo of a product that already exists comes back as several redesign directions to choose between.

However it starts, the flow carries on the same way. A 3D generation node lifts the direction you pick into concept geometry for judging form, and a Gate holds the result for review before anything moves downstream.
Production surfacing still happens in CAD.

This one’s worth resharing.

We ran a #workshop with our partner Fronius Österreich in Wels earlier this year. It was a complex impeller geometry. The toolpaths were generated in Aibuild CAM and the thermal management was handled by our pre-build thermal simulation.

The impeller was printed using CMT Additive Pro, leveraging welding characteristics specifically developed by Fronius for Additive Manufacturing – the end result was exactly what was predicted.

Aibuild CAM removes the guesswork before the print begins. Fronius Additive and CMT Additive Pro make repeatable deposition stable and reliable.
This cooperation exists to remove the gap between what Additive Manufacturing is capable of and what manufacturers can reliably produce.

Software engineers didn’t stop mattering when AI started writing code.

Their job changed and the work moved toward directing the system, reviewing what it produces, and deciding what ships.

This is Draw2CAD, one of the new Apps in Aibuild OS. Upload a drawing sheet as a PDF, DXF, PNG or JPG and press one button. The agent reads the drawing, builds the model and hands back the STEP file.

There’s no prompt to write, so the job runs the same way for every engineer on your team.

Apps is live now in beta. On 1st October at 3pm BST we’re doing a live run through of how to use Apps and how to get the most out of Aibuild OS.
