A 7 metre van cost us a £9,000 booking 🚚💔

When a group of contractors enquired about staying at one of our properties, everything looked perfect.

The property worked.
The dates worked.
The budget worked.

The only condition?

Their van needed to fit on the driveway with easy access.

“EASY,” I thought…

Then they told me it was a 7 metre Sprinter.

I Googled it.
Measured it.
And quickly realised just how massive that actually is.

While it could technically fit, getting in and out every day would have been a nightmare and would likely have inconvenienced our neighbours too.

So we made the call to let the booking go.
Losing £9,000 isn’t fun.

But this was a reminder that even when a property ticks all the boxes, great location, plenty of space, the right number of rooms, and parking available, it still might not be the perfect fit for every guest.

And that’s okay.
The right booking will always be a better fit than forcing the wrong one. by @aicha_property

A detailed business partner will take you further than a motivated one👆🏾

Motivation fades, people get tired, life happens.

But detail is what keeps a business running properly.

It’s the small things being noticed consistently that actually make the difference long term.

That’s exactly how we managed to get our property to Guest Favourite status with consistent 5 star reviews.

Not from doing anything crazy.

My first ever podcast interview… and I’m still smiling about it 🎙️

I had the opportunity to sit down and be interviewed by a humble guy named Steven Kodjo!

It felt surreal and I’m so grateful for the opportunity. This is definitely a milestone I won’t forget.

I spend so much time sharing my journey online without really knowing who’s watching, who’s listening, or what impact it’s actually making.

Then when moments like this happen, it just highlights the power of social media.

It reminded me that the things we share matter. People are always paying attention, even when it doesn’t always feel like it.

I recently did a random spot check at my property… and I’m glad I did 🧼

I popped in straight after the cleaners left, no warning, no nothing, just to see the standard for myself.

At first everything looked fine, but a closer look told a different story. Dirty oven tray, bin not changed.

It may seem like small details, but not the won’t be small to a guest. That’s the kind of thing that sticks and can turn into a bad review.

I messaged the cleaners right away and to be fair, they came back within 10 minutes and sorted it.

It was a good reminder that standards can slip when you don’t check, not out of carelessness, just because things get missed.

As a host, it will always comes back to you.

Spot checks might feel unnecessary when things are running smoothly, but that’s exactly when they matter most.

So be sure to carry them out! by @aicha_property

I really enjoyed sitting in front of the camera 📸!

I filmed a video for potential future investors, and it ended up being a really fun experience.
It felt good to step into something different and clearly communicate what me and Brianna were building.

Things that once felt uncomfortable are starting to feel normal. That shift is a sign of growth in itself.

I am not where I want to be yet, but I know I am on the right path.

I am slowly but surely laying foundations now so that my future self will be able to stand on with confidence.

Remember! Do not just chase the destination. Learn to enjoy the journey as well🧏🏾‍♀️. by @aicha_property

Stepping back into a class room felt surreal🤭

Me and @propertybybrianna , spent the day speaking to students about property (specifically serviced accommodation) and were walking them through how it actually works.

We shared our journey, broke down the process step by step, answered their questions, and ran an interactive activity for £5 price that got everyone involved.

The engagement and curiosity in the room honestly made the experience so special.

What made it even more meaningful is that this opportunity came through LinkedIn, a real reminder of how far authentic content can travel.

With that being said, I hope to speak at more schools and other places soon!

2025, you’ve been good and challenging.

I grew my LinkedIn to over 1,500 followers through active posting.

I consistently posted my journey across most social media platforms.

I graduated this year.

I lost my dad and stepped into a full-time parenting role to my younger sisters which changed everything. Nevertheless, it showed me a new level of strength and resilience I didn’t know I had.

I gave keys back and picked up new keys right before 2026

I learned how to properly navigate the property journey alongside my business partner @propertybybrianna and couldn’t be more grateful for her.

I also took the time to appreciate London more, and I travelled to far more countries than I ever expected to this year.

2026, I’m ready for you 🥂. by @aicha_property
